Kanchana’s POV

Wow! The villa looked amazing! The servants got our luggage as we entered to explore inside. There were three floors along with a ground floor. Each of our rooms were in different floors. We went and freshened up. It was almost 2 pm when we started having lunch while discussing what to do for the whole week. I felt good to stay away from the palace secrets and staying peacefully here. After lunch we made different plans. Nolan and Muktha went for a long walk. Ryan and Chaitra went towards the forest on their horses. I was too lazy to roam outside the villa, so we decided to spend some time on the terrace.
The cool wind brushed our faces as we entered the terrace on the fourth floor. It felt like refreshing our souls. We were walking silently for few minutes, enjoying the climate. “So, how is it here?” Derek asked breaking the silence. “Its amazing! It is so good to take a break from training and responsibilities” I said with a grin. “Well that’s true. And moreover, we get to spend some time together” he winked, turning my face red. I felt really good talking and spending time with him. We always had some or the other thing to keep us busy in the palace. This was the right time to get to know each other well.
It was almost 7 pm when we gathered in the backyard. There was a lot of space. Few seats were arranged around the fire pit. A campfire! Cool! We got few snacks to eat, along with few blankets if anyone needed. We randomly spoke for some time, played few games and cracked jokes upon each other. This was the best day ever spent in Arcania. “You guys will also be joining us in handling court affairs after our marriage” Nolan said and we three just nodded silently. “Don’t worry, you can observe for few days and later join us officially” Ryan said and we were kind of relieved. “We have committed few huge mistakes in the past and hope we don’t repeat them. Your decisions will contribute a lot” Derek said with a serious look. “What mistakes?” I asked quickly staring at him for answers. “Let’s discuss about that some other day” Nolan said. “Yeh, come on let’s have dinner now” Ryan said as he stood up. We headed inside. I was still curious about what mistakes Derek was mentioning about. He was quite serious while telling about that. I thought of starting the topic again while eating but that would make me too nosy. So I decided to know the answer in my own way.
Our room was on the first floor. We went back, spoke for some time and went back to sleep. I didn’t get sleep, so I just closed my eyes. After some time, I opened my eyes to see Derek sleeping. I slowly held his hand and he didn’t jerk. That means he is asleep. I sighed as I closed my eyes to see the visuals.
I could see King Viosh and Mask standing in the room. “Finally! I have got what I have wanted from so long Mask” King said with an evil smile. “Yes your Majesty. You are immortal and no one can defeat you now” Mask said. He looks young. “I don’t know why but I feel guilty for some reason” he said with a worried look. “That’s because along with her powers you would have received few of her emotions, because of which you are thinking in her point of view your Majesty” Mask said. “Yeh maybe. And moreover she wasn’t any innocent one. She was cheating on me with the maid and had planned to take over both the kingdoms. She deserves this fate” he smirked. “Yes my lord. Why don’t you try your magical powers, you may feel much better” Mask suggested. “You’re right”  King faced his palm towards the flower vase and casted some spell. In a few seconds the flowers dried up turning pale. He casted another spell and the colour of the flowers changed from pale to bright ones. Whoa. He smirked as he stared at his kingdom from the window and said “Time to play with the fate of Ilandira” then the visions faded away and everything turned black. I opened my eyes and sighed. It isn’t as simple as we thought. There’s a lot to be known.
The next morning I woke up as Derek moved the curtains. I was still feeling sleepy because I couldn’t sleep soon with so many questions running in my mind. I had to tell Muktha and Chaitra about these visions. I woke up with drowsy eyes. “Good morning! Waking up early on a holiday?” Derek asked as he drank water. “Umm.. yeh like we could spend time talking with them downstairs” I said trying not to seem too eager to meet them up. I had to go and tell them soon because it was serious. “Already missing your friends huh? Or are you getting bored staying with me?” he asked with an innocent look as he sat next to me. “No, not at all. Infact I felt like I would increase your boredom” I said by leaning on my pillow behind. “Never think like that. I love spending time with you, no matter how long it is” he said with an assuring smile. I felt guilty. Guilty for trying to check his past without his permission, just for my curiosity. We spoke casually, getting to know each other well, without realising time passing quickly.
It was almost 11 am when we went downstairs to have breakfast. Others were waiting for us to join. We ate while talking randomly about our plans for the day. After eating I pulled both Muktha and Chaitra silently near the backyard. “What happened?” Muktha asked. I explained them about all the visions which I saw the previous night. They were speechless for few seconds glancing at each other in shock.
“So, what would have happened to Kingdom Ilandira? Does it exist right now?” Chaitra asked. “Most probably destroyed because his desire was to destroy it” I said remembering his expression at the end. It looked like he was taking some revenge. “We should ask someone whom we can trust and who can tell us the truth” Muktha said and we both nodded in agreement. “But who? I wish Raveena was there for us” I said remembering her face, with her genuine smile. “Yeh. Guys we shouldn’t stand and discuss here, Kings may get suspicious” Chaitra said and we agreed. We went back inside.
