Chaitra’s POV

   The rest of the days went by smoothly . Just randomly talking and spending good time with friends and our future significant others . It would have been much better if we hadn’t known about the destruction of Ilandira , but now we can’t help it . Our minds doesn’t just let us come back to reality and let us enjoy . It always lingers on that thought . The kings did notice our sudden change of moods for the past few days but thankfully they didn’t ask us anything . Even the ride back to the city was quiet and awkward.
   We almost reached the city by the dawn of night , so we decided to wake up early and then go into the storeroom . The next day morning , we woke up early as planned and slowly tiptoed to the fifth floor storeroom . After reaching there we slowly just closed the door but didn’t lock it. We rummaged through the chairs , tables and portraits. “Hey, look this is the painting of Levi which I told you guys about . I don’t know where the portrait of King Viosh and Queen Laura disappeared” Muktha said . “ Maybe after Nolan saw you here , he would have removed it from here so that you don’t find it when you again come here” Kanchana said and we both agreed. After few minutes of looking around “ Hey , look there’s a door here” Kanchana said as she by mistakenly moved a chair aside the door came to visibility.
   “It looks like it’s locked . Where do we find the key ?” Muktha asked and suddenly after seeing that the lock had a rectangular opening , I remembered the emerald stone on the locket Luna gave me . “ I think it’s this , I said as I removed the stone from the locket and placed it in the hole . It worked . The door opened revealing a quite big room . It was full of dust and we got split as we started searching for some more clues .
“ Guys, don’t you think this looks weird?” Muktha asked pointing at a particular table with some papers on it.  “ What’s weird in it ?” I asked. “The whole room has a layer of dust on it . But this table looks quite clean and tidy . Unlike , the whole room which is full of dust and mess .” she said as we came closer to take a look at the table . She was right. It looks clean . We started going through the papers . Most of them were only paperwork of the court affairs and maps of different parts of the kingdom . One particular set of papers pinned together caught my attention. I took it but I don’t know why instead of looking at the first page I turned to the last page . Our names were written at the bottom of the sheet. “Guys, look at this” I showed them and even they were as shocked as I was . “Look at this thing” Kanchana exclaimed . And we saw that the first name in the first page was of queen Laura’s . What the hell is this indicating? “ Does this mean that she’s centuries old ?” Muktha asked looking at the date written beside her which dated back to many centuries. We were about to discuss something but then we heard approaching footsteps so we just ushered ourselves and went and stood behind a turning wall hiding ourselves from who ever was coming here .
“ Mask , what do we do now?” Nolan asked . “ Are you sure he’s one of them ?” Ryan asked . “ I’m sure, I’ve been watching Queens during training and I’ve noticed that Lucas is not the one who claims he is . He’s not a tutor. We need to do something about this” Mask answered . “ Ok then . Keep an eye on him and when the time is right throw him into the dungeons”  Derek told sternly . “ So what do we for another trainer?” Ryan asked . “ We’ll train them ourselves ” Nolan said and the other two agreed. “ Ok then that’s agreed upon. What’s next?” Derek asked “ I think we should keep an eye on the other tutors too.” Mask suggested. “ We’ll think about that later Mask . We have other big issues to deal right now.  We need to know what else they have in store for us to reveal.” Nolan said. What were they talking about? Who has what that they are supposed to reveal? My mind was racing with questions when I suddenly heard someone talk again . “ Have you checked on Denzel? Does he know anything about this ? We don’t know who exactly we could see through . What if even he’s a traitor?” Derek questioned and Ryan nodded in agreement. “ Doesn’t seem like he’s a traitor . He’s not much on connection with the Queens so we really can’t say anything for sure though” he said . “ What happened with the list of people who were supposed to run the fishing issues ?” Nolan asked and they started talking about random issues in the Kingdom . After about half an hour all  four of them left leaving us along to think what we should do .
  “ So , what do we do ?” Kanchana asked . “ First we should get out of here . And one more thing ,we should somehow inform Lucas that he is being watched ” I said and then all three of us slowly went outside the room, after confirming that they we went back to their room.
   We changed into our training outfits and went for training . “ Hello my ladies. How was the vacation?” I was about to tell him the news but then Muktha stopped me . She signalled towards the other end of the field where there was a guard standing and staring at us . He was observing what and all we were doing there. “ We need to tell you something important.” Muktha started and then Kanchana went and took her mace , making it seem like we were discussing about our session today . “ I think I know what you are going to say . This is not the right time or place to talk about it . Let’s just get going with the training . I’ll meet you guys later and we’ll talk” he said and we agreed to him .
   We started our training for the day . He had asked us to pick some more weapons to learn about to we just interchanged our weapons . Muktha chose the bow, Kanchana chose lance and I chose mace. We started that day's training . He started teaching us the basics and then asked us to teach each other . I taught Muktha how to use the bow and targeting the arrows . Then I taught her the different kinds of arrows that can be produced from the bow and their uses. We practised for about 2 hours and then it was my turn to learn.
    Kanchana taught me how to hold a mace . It was so heavy . I don’t know how she even learnt it . So first, she taught me what are the parts of a mace and their uses and how they function and all . Later she taught me how to hold it and how not to get yourself hurt from it . I tried striking and all with the mace . She made me practise with the artificial human figure for about an hour and then she started teaching me tactics to attack at the right time and defend properly. She started striking me few times and I tried to defend myself . It was fun but at the same time difficult and tiring . We practised for another half an hour and then it was Kanchana’s turn to learn .
    Muktha went and started teaching her while I came back and sat on the bench for a while . I drank water and then was watching them . I didn’t feel like just sitting there alone and seeing them so I went and stood with them . I just saw and listened to them . Muktha was teaching her how to strike with the Lance, like the turns and cuts . It was more memorising than practising . Kanchana tried few strikes and cuts . Then she started teaching her about defending . So, Muktha started striking Kanchana and she was defending herself . Sometimes when she couldn’t Muktha taught her how she could defend in that situation. Actually it was mostly how your instincts work at that moment because the top of the Lance is dangerous. If it touches someone’s head slightly, then the person would fall unconscious for few hours . After their training we thanked Lucas and he signalled to us saying that he’ll meet us soon to talk about it and then we left to our rooms .
