"it's okay. we will show them. we'll show them all."

"sh, sh jinx!" i giggled as we hid in the darkness. her laughter faded as we heard the trapdoor open. sounds of boots could be heard on the floor. suddenly the tripwire went off. and it was dark.

"oh no, they're here." i heard a voice say. i grinned as i began to stealthily creep to a new spot. the swing went up, 'BOOM'

i stood out in the open with my hands on my hips as they got into a stance. jinx came from behind them and stuck bombs onto them. their clueless. i jumped with jinx behind crates. the bombs went off. i stood and walked over to the trapdoor, pushing it open. i could see the particles going out into the open.

jinx jumped out first.

"um, hi." she then threw bombs at two people. i jumped out and grabbed my mini uzi from my belt and began to dodge as the guy threw something at us. jinx was fighting someone as i heard a barrel being knocked over. i spun on my heels and grabbed their wrist stopping them from setting the shimmer on fire. i brought my other fist up and punched their face. there mask fell off and their looks reminded me of someone. someone not good. 

i heard voices. voices of her. the girl was trying to escape my grip. she dropped the fire cracker. i pushed her down into the fire and stood on her back, she burned and i did a backflip off of her.

"no!" i heard a voice say.  i rested the gun on my hip and chuckled while looking at the other firefly. suddenly they charged. before they could reached my a shot my gun at them, spinning as they flew around. i was yelling loudly as they flew away. 

"you were supposed to guard the cargo." i heard sevika say behind me to jinx.

"but weren't you like head of this mission?" i asked placing my hands on my hips. my braids falling as i tilted my head. sevika turned to look at me and jinx cocked her head and frowned i smirked at sevika and she glared at me.

"she fired on us." we heard as me and jinx sat on the wood beams. 

"there are always mishaps in battle." slico says. "the firelights were their target and most are dead."

"it wasn't a mishap, she froze up and lost her shit." sevika spoke cockily. "i could have handled those brats. their a problem and we all know it."

 "we?" silco turned in his chair. "who's we?"

"i expect better from you then excuses." silco scolded. "it was your job to make sure things went smoothly. you failed. don't disappoint me again." sevika grunted and exited the room.

"the worlds growing smaller every day, thanks to the hex gates. and now, we're cut off. the topsiders are leaving us further and further behind." silco complained. "what happened?"

"she already told you." jinx said. i laid back with my hand on my head.

"i'm asking you two." jinx fell and i sat up and fell too i whipped my legs over the table and sat criss cross apple sauce. 

"one of those firelight wackos was girl. with pink hair." jinx explained silco hummed and turned to face us. silco handed jinx his needle. i could never do it because i have really shaky hands. 

"your sisters gone." silco spoke has jinx scooted further towards him. "you know that as much as i do."

"i know. i know. sisters, right?" jinx ranted.

"im gonna go to my room." i spoke smoothly as i hopped of the desk. silco nodded at me as jinx ranted about her. i walk to the door and closed it behind me. i walked up more stairs. there was a spiral staircase. i went up to it. there's my room. i love my room, i jumped onto my bed and sat up.

i stood up and walked over to my huge mirror i examined myself. long golden hair, two loose french braids wrapped around my finger as i played with them, the gold thick rings around them shimmered in the light, pieces of hair hung over the left side of my forehead, my vibrant emerald green eyes shimmered because of the shimmer, my cropped black tight tank-top, the way it was cropped made it easy to see my toned body. black tight shorts, gold garters on my thighs the left one had a snake charm on it, my black combat boots had birds in gold marker drew onto them, they had x's over their eyes, the laces were gold, they also had a snake charm on one of the laces.

i started to grow out my hair as a challenge with jinx, whos ever hair was the longest won. my hair is a little longer then hers.

"karlie?" jinx spoke.

"oh hey jinx." i said turning around.
