ʀᴇᴀʟɪᴢᴀᴛɪᴏɴ

we walked through the bar. men stared, woman snickered. i swayed my hips and put the arm around jinx's shoulder as we walked out.

"that was funny!" jinx said as she threw her head back laughing.

"what was?" i ask looking at her smiling.

"the freaking guys looking at us!" she says.

"oh yeah." i say rolling my eyes and giggling.

"i'm just a poor little girl, who set this building on fire. totally by accident!" i giggle at the end revealing my real voice. the lights go out and jinx's monkey drawing shows up, that's my cue.

"and i put some bombs here so uh, enjoy!" me and jinx watch from afar as the bombs go off. we run and giggle.

i lay on my back and bob my head to jinx's music. i stand up and walk over to jinx as i dance obnoxiously. she looks at me and shakes her head laughing. i turn around and continue to dance. suddenly the music stops.

"jinx!" i heard silco yell. i turn around on my heel.

"thats me!" jinx yells spinning in her chair to face him. 

"half a dozen enforcers dead!" he speaks looking at me, "karlie get over here!"

"yes sir!" i yell walking over to him.

"did you have something to do with this?" he yells looking at me.

"yes? and no." i say looking at my nails giggling.

"do you have any idea what you to have done? a building blown to pieces!"

"oh! yeah!" jinx says laying her head on her table. "as an apology take this." jinx reaches into her pocket and grabs the blue ball we stole. she handed the ball to silco and walked over to me giggling. she grabs my hand and we go over to the beam we have. i stand on it with jinx and pull the lever down.

"happy progress day!" me and jinx yell together giggling. fireworks explode into the sky. jinx jumps from the beam and walks over to silco slowly. she wraps her arms around his torso as he examines the blue shimmery ball. i walk over to them and pat silco on the back, before joining their hug.

"boring!" jinx yells dragging out the 'g' as i lay next to her. "boring."

"wow super boring." i state as we sit up at the same time.

"here we go." she says as she study's a page. she closes the book and begins to ramble again.

"it's all about these runes. the form some kind of math-y, magic-y gateway." she explains as she moves her hands around, "to the realm of heebie-jeebies. and this... turns it on." she grabs the blue ball and places it on the machine. i sit criss cross apple sauce and watch her.

"so here it goes.." she rubs her hands together. she huffs as she turns the knob. we are immediately blown backwards. i groan as i hit the floor with a thud. the memories come back. vi. claggor. mylo. vander. everything the pain of abandonment. i shield my eyes as i lay on my stomach. tears run down my face as i look up. my hair falls into my face as i shuffle back and jump onto my feet.

"no, no, no." i squeak out and run up to my room. i charge into my room and slide down my wall with my face in my hands. i wipe my eyes and look up. i see a girl with red hair.

"phi?" i shuffle back once more as the figure approaches me. i squeeze my eyes close as i put my arm over my eyes.

"karlie!"i hear i open my eyes and see jinx. oh, its her. not her. "a-are you okay?"

"i'm-i'm fine." i say shakily standing up, i brush off my clothes and look at her. we are the same height so i don't have to look down at her.

"how much do we weigh?" she asks dragging me to the scale. she steps onto it. 98 pounds. "hm. i gained some."

"it's because sevika has been feeding us." i laugh stepping onto the scale. 97. "hey, im gainin' man." i step off.

"wanna go some where?" jinx asks holding her hand out for me to take.

we walk into our old hideout. i shiver as i look around. jinx steps on something and looks down lifting her foot up to grab it. i turn my head and see the fighting machine. i look up at the leaderboard.

3. vi - 3924

i hum and look around some more spinning in a circle. i hear a crow and jump turning around. jinx grabs her gun and points her gun at the crow, cocking her head to the side. the crow chirps almost cockily and jinx chuckles shooting the bird and spinning around. she blows the smoke out of her gun and walks away. i follow her to the fighting machine. i run my long finger nail over the machine taking some dust off. jinx puts the plate into its place. 

she dusts off her hands and steps back placing her hands on her hips. i see her. her working her magic as she doges and swings. i look down and look at my hands. observing the black nail polish the sat on my finger nails. suddenly the machine powers up. i step back and let jinx go first.

she twitches before she starts. i watch her endlessly as she swings around. she grunts as i watch her score go up higher on the leader board. she screams as she ends. i watch her pant as she looks at the leader board.

i shrug as she backs up. i rub her back and stand in front of the machine pushing the button. it began and i smirk as i punch, kick, dodge and lean to the side. over. nothing happened no scream no tears. i look to the board.

"damn." jinx says as she spins on her heel sniffling. i pant and follow her.
