It was a bright sunny day and beams of light pierced through my curtains and onto my face. I woke up shirtless with nothing but shorts on. I walked downstairs with fresh new clothes on after taking a shower and was greeted by my mother who was cooking breakfast (bacon, eggs, sausage, and pancakes).
(M/N): "Morning (Y/N)."
(Y/N): "Mornin' mom."
(M/N): "So, are you ready for your summer road trip with grandpa max and Gwen?"
(Y/N): "Yeah, I guess."
(M/N): "What's wrong?"
(Y/N): "Nothing. It's just that...well...I invited Ellie to come with me."
(M/N): "Ellie?"
(Y/N): "Yes."
(M/N): "As in...Ellie Brock?"
(Y/N): "Yes."
(M/N): "The girl from your school and childhood friend?"
(Y/N): "Yes."
(M/N): "Your girlfriend~." She said with a smug look on her face.

After breakfast, I was watching YouTube on my phone until I heard a car horn coming from outside. I looked out the window only to see a big blue RV with an alien spaceship on the left side and an old man wearing a red floral buttoned-up shirt. It was (Y/N)'s Grandfather, Max Tennyson.

Max: "Get in (Y/N), and there's also a couple of guests that are going to join us."

Max: "Right. Can't forget about your girlfriend."
(Y/N)(flustered): "G-Grandpa!"
Grandpa Max laughs at my reaction and enters the driver's seat of the Rustbucket.
