"Amaris, what boy is he talking about?"

Damn. This was definitely not supposed to go like this. What should I do?

"Amaris. What boy is Laroi talking about?"

I feel the weight on the door get heavier, I look over at Dylan desperately for assistance and he finally does after realizing that I can only hold this for so much longer.

"Uhhh, the boy was a friend of mine that I wasn't actually ready to introduce everyone to. I know him from a while back but it wasn't for long because I had to move shortly after. He was one of my few true friends I had in general growing up. Now can we please get off my door and leave me alone?"

I hear them all collectively sigh before my door suddenly is shut because of them getting off of the other side. I trudge myself over to my bed and flop on my bed and relax. Dylan does the same before he props himself up and begins talking shortly after.

"So you deal with that every day?"

"Not usually no, I've also only been here for a little bit but they definitely have gotten more comfortable with me than I have with them. THAT is for sure."

"I think I have definitely noticed that. The real question is how are you gonna get me out of here without interacting with me?"

"That's a very good question that we will get to LATER. Let's just relax for a bit, do some homework and then chill til you have to go. Cool?"

"Of course it is, let's get the homework out the way now?"

"Sure!"

*Timeskip 2 hours*

Eventually me and Dylan finish all out homework which was surprisingly easy because the things I didn't understand, he'd help me because he knew and vise-versa. We change into some hoodies and sweats (he keeps a whole backup outfit in his backpack because "you'll never know what can happen") and get under the blankets and stuff before I realize that all my snacks are downstairs from the grocery trip we all had a few nights ago.

"I'm gonna go downstairs and grab all my snacks, I forgot they aren't up here. Will you be alright being in here alone for a bit?"

"What? Yeah, of course. I'll be here when you leave and I'll still be here when you get back."

"Alright, I won't be gone for long."

I lightly wave to him as I exit the room and then head downstairs to see some of the guys downstairs. Some are playing the game together, a few laying on the couch and doing whatever on their phones and the others. I quietly walk to the kitchen when someone stops me by putting their hand on my shoulder.

"Amaris."

Laroi, dammit.

I slowly turn around til I'm facing him and lean against the wall.

"Yes Laroi?"

"Who's upstairs with you?"

"My friend is, I thought we addressed this already?"

"Why? Why didn't you tell any of us or anything? Especially when we were trying to get to you earlier?"

"I don't have to nor did I want to. It's one of my first few days here and I didn't feel like I had fit in with any of you guys, at least not alot and then there comes my friend. One of the few people that has made me feel normal and not out of place."

"We didn't make you feel like that? I didn't make you feel like that?"

"Laroi I didn't come down here to talk to you. I came down here to get my snacks then go right back upstairs."

"Answer my questions Amaris."

"No. I'm sorry but leave me alone Laroi. I'm done talking to you just like how you were done talking to me earlier."

With that, I shrug his hand off of me and gather the snacks for me and Dylan. I get them then head straight back to my room and spread the snacks on the floor and Dylan joins me on the floor.

"So how'd it go down there?"

"It was fine."

"Was it really?"

"Mhm...Sorta."

"What happened?"

"Laroi just keeps trying to talk to me and he won't take the sign that I obviously don't want to talk to him. I've told him repeatedly and shown it multiple times as well."

"Well, why don't you want to talk to him?"

I tell him what had happened and I noticed the more I told him, the more upset he had gotten. When I had finished talking, he was looking at me intensely.

"Dylan?"

"Hm?"

"Why are you upset?"

"Cause he shouldn't have done that. I know he doesn't know you so his actions may have not seemed that severe but I know you, and I know how you get when people just leave you. In a whole new place at that too? Like you didn't even fully know the layout of the school and he just left you? I outta-"

"Dylan, Dylan, calm down please. You're starting to talk fast."

"I hope you know now, that I don't like him."

"I think I can tell."

"You wanna have a sleepover?"

"Wait are you serious D?"

"Yeah, why not? I haven't seen in years and it'd be a nice way to catch up with you. I don't live that far from here either, I'll just text my mom and let her know."

"This'll be my first ever sleepover, oh my god."

"Wait, WHAT?"

--------------------------------------

ALRIGHT SO I KNOW I HAVEN'T UPLOADED IN A WHILE BUT UMM, I'll be honest just yesterday i was having relationship issues and really bad anxiety and I just didn't have the motivation to do anything for a while so I obviously didn't. I didn't forget about this story or the people waiting for me but I just couldn't bring myself to put anything out. These next chapter(s?) are going to be about Amaris' first ever sleepover and the development of some relationships. Other than that, I thikn that's all I had to say. I love you all so much and I hope that you are all taking care of yourselves<3 - Author~
