"Your first sleepover? You have to be kidding me."
"I wish I was but I surely am not."
"WE HAVE TO GO TO THE STORE. LIKE NOW."
"For what??"
"We have to make this the best first sleepover ever, c'mon. Change out of your study clothes. You look like you're homeless..and toss on something comfy. We're obviously doing some shopping today."
"Fine fine, let me figure something out to wear and freshen up then I'll be good."
I head over to my closet and rummage through it til I eventually pull together this outfit.
I head into the bathroom and change and take down my hair and wear it down like how I did when I went out for breakfast with Laroi. I make sure I look good before I head back out to my room. Dylan is leaned up against my bedroom door, seemingly waiting for me.
"Hey, I'm ready. You good?"
"Yeah...I'm great," he says as he looks me up and down.
"Is there something wrong with how I look right now? I can go change-"
"NO NO, there is nothing wrong with how you look. You look gorgeous Amaris."
Me being the awkward ass person that I am, I just start nervously giggling and everything.
"You're still just as awkward as you were before."
"Shut up D! Let's go," I say as I laugh.
I make sure to grab my purse then we head out my bedroom door. Just as me and Dylan get to the living room, the boys walk in and see D. It was like one of those scenes when someone is looking in between two people back and forth. They all looked at me then him, then me again then him again. And this happened to for like a minute or two until Jah had came in and was looking at us ALL weirdly and he speaks first.
"What is going on here? Why do you," he says pointing to me and Dylan ," look like you're about to head out? And why are y'all, " he says pointing to the boys , "staring them down like there's something wrong with them?"
"We didn't know it was a boy that she was with." - Goldn
"You didn't tell them?" - Jah
"Well I mean I didn't feel like letting them meet him yet.." - Amaris
"Is this because of whatever is happening between you and Laroi?" - Jah
The whole room falls silent. One thing about Jah is that he can read me like a book. Sometimes I love it and sometimes I hate it. Right now? I hate it.
"You know the tension that appears when the 2 of you are in the same room is strong as can be, right?"
"Is it really..?"
I don't think I even bothered thinking about how we look to OTHER people.
"Yes really, so whatever you two got goin' on? Fix it, A.S.A.P because it's lowkey weird."
"Okay fine fine, can me and D just go now at this point..."
"Oh yeah! You coulda left a while ago, love ya, be safe, don't do anything that I would do which is alot so...JUST BE CAREFUL OKAY??"
