Tey was sipping on her hot tea, looking back and forth between us. Junie sat between her legs, doing the same.

"What Nic?"

"First, do you still mess with Chris?"

It was like her eyes lit up when I mentioned his name. That's how I knew she was still messing around with him.

"Yeah. I'm gonna ask him to be my man on Valentine's Day."

"Whaaat?" Teyana and Junie leaned back.

"What am I gon' be mad about?"

"I'm all in they business like you told me not to, but only because I was assigned to go undercover."

She looked at me with her eyebrows raised. "Bitch you went with her on New Year's like she told you huh?"

"Yeah."

"You like that girl?"

"No, I am undercover. I just said that."

"You weren't undercover on New Year's though."

"Yeah but I was doing the same thing I'm doing now. I have a job to do Robyn and if your man is in it, that's just what it is."

She scoffed. "Man Onika don't play with me. I asked you not to and you did it anyway. After you told me you wouldn't too. You lied to me."

Teyana patted Junie's shoulder and Junie got up, running off to her room.

"That was fucked up of me Robyn, I shouldn't have lied to you but you should have never expected me to let it slide knowing what your 'man' is into."

"It's like you don't even care for real."

"I don't care. You know how I am about drugs. He's in it and that's not my fault. It's also not my fault that you like him."

"And what happens when you start to like Beyoncé? I bet you those rules start switching up real quick."

"Robyn I don't know why I have to keep telling you, it's not gonna happen. I am under—"

"I don't give a fuck Onika. It's not hard to catch feelings for somebody you chillin' with and flirting with every damn day. Like I said, those rules gon' change just so you can protect her drug dealing ass."

"So you know she is?" I asked. "Did Chris tell you that?"
