Samantha's POV
We're now outside the hospital. I just finished getting a procedure done to me.
We're sitting inside the care staring at nothing.
"You know what? Let's get out of here." Alyssa said as she tilt her head on my direction.
"Dino's should still be open." I said and start buckling my seatbelt.
"I was thinking more Boston, Massachusetts." I stop at what I'm doing and lean my back again.
"Oh, you think I should flee the country?" I said teasing her.
"I'm serious. This place is a dead end, we've been saying it for years." Ly said and had a deep sigh.
"And, uh, my dad wants me to try for a scholarship at Harvard." I smiled. She would make it I know that for sure.
"You are serious." I said and stared at her.
"It's one of the best medical schools in the world. And Boston College happens to have a really great hotel management course.That is what you want to do, isn't it?" Tuloy tuloy na sabi nito, what I really noticed was how excited she was. I kissed her cheek and we both laugh. We're set then.
" Let's go together. " Ly said and I close my eyes and nod at her.
At home
I just told my parents what my plan to do with Alyssa.
"You can't! I mean, who'll do your washing? You'll never eat! It's ridiculous!" My mom said hysteric but dad and I jist laugh at her.
"They have food in America, Mom,
and I'm guessing washing machines." I reasoned out.
"It's so far away! I mean, talk to her, Dad!" Mom said finding Dad alliance with her husband. Dad didn't say A thing he just stands up and walk ou through the door that means follow me.
"It works for me. I mean, this is as far as I got." I told dad when we got out of the house.
"I know, but Mom's just being Mom." He said calmly as we continue to walk and enjoy the morning breeze.
"It would be so much fun, and it would be...Did you ever want more, Dad?" I ask him. He smiled.
"Do you know what your Gran's favorite phrase was? "Not for the likes of us. " When you told us of your plan, it was the first thing that popped into my head. But here we are we have our own beach resort.
You, love, there's nothing you can't do if you put your mind to it. "
Dad said and laugh at me.
" But if I go to Boston, Mom will never speak to me again." I said while feedling with my fingers.
" Well, if you don't go, I won't. The choice is yours." Dad said laughing then he pat my back.
At the end of the day I submit my application with Alyssa. Yup we're really going together.
