About Last Night

C14: Sulking

Alyssa's POV

I found myself getting in a random bar here in Boston. I didn't know Samantha has this kind of impact to me. Should've stayed with her.

I saw someone sit beside me.

"So, the last time I looked that depressed, I tried to hang myself
w

ith my favorite tie." I look at him. He's quite tall with chinkh eyes that almost close whenever he smile.

"Hi, I'm Albie." he said and handed out his hand.

"Alyssa." I told him my name and took his hand for a hand shake.

"I've been sent to play fairy godmother! " He shouted because of the loud music.

"You don't look the part, mate." I told him and we both laugh.

"My sister's been driving me crazy. She wants to know, would you buy her a drink?" Albie said. I thought so, no one would approach a stranger unless they need something.

"Which one is she? The hot girl from class? Alexa." He said as her sister walk towards the bar counter to get in front of me.

"The bright sunflower in the family." Albie said sarcastically teasing her sister.

"Hey! Hey!" Alexa said while shooing her brother.

Once Albie left she turned her attention to me. " Everybody's wondering why a girl like you looks so sad."

I felt awkward. I'm not the type of person to tell strangers about my personal problem. I bow down my head while scratching my nape as I gave her my apology. "Sorry."

"It's time to realize you're here with us. And that we might be fun to be with." She said and wink at me.

After that night Alexa and I have beeng going out. We spend time whenever I'm not busy in med school. And we eventually live together.

Months passed by so quickly it was now Christmas season. I grabbed my phone and decided to take a video of my self.

"Zarie! It's your first Christmas! I hope you got my present!"  i yelled after I took the video I immediately send it to Samantha.

"Thanks for the book, Ly. I know she'll love it one day." Samantha text back with a laughing emoji. Hahaha I can imagine her sarcasm.

I video called Samantha and she pick up.
Video call

S: What is it?
A: This is my new apartment. (i showed her around I even showed Alexa who's organizing things for us.)

When I finished touring her we ended the call since Zarie is calling for her.

" What's this you're doing here, darling?" I ask Alexa as I sit in front of her watching what she's doing.

"Um, handmade hearts." she said.

Four years past by pretty quickly..

I'm currently taking my yearly video of me for Zarie.

"And here, we have my favorite Back to the Future poster." I said then Alexa went towards it and remove it from the wall.

"It would look so special in the bathroom." That hit my mood of a bit but nevertheless I do it for Zarie.

I saw samantha send me a video of Zarie.

Video playing...

"Walk to Mommy. Come to me. Good girl!" I can't help but smile. Zarie is now walking wish I could see her soon.

I continue shooting a my video and I'm about to be done. I decided to do mirror shot.

"Zarie, darling, it's your fourth Christmas.

Did, uh, Mommy get my Christmas card?"

Then I end the video somehow I wish to be with them.

Samantha texted me she usually update me every Christmas about her life.

Samantha:

She wants me to tell you she can cycle and count to five. Me, I've got a job and finally moved out of Mom and Dad's.

he does this because she promised to keep in touch this time. You make me miss you more, Sam.
