Ivy woke up with Finn staring at her through the bars of her cell, "how was freedom?"
"Fuck you", Finn had been genuinely curious.
He hadn't known freedom in over fifty years and had been prisoner to The House Of Madness just as Ivy had been.
Just in a different sense, he was never locked up but still a prisoner nonetheless.
"Victor's been a real bitch since you've been gone.
Hopefully now with you back he'll go back to just being crazy.
Instead of being a crazy crabby little bitch all the time."
In Ivy's two years as a prisoner Finn had manage to say the same total number of words in two minutes.
"A piece of advice, keep your head down. Things have changed since you've last been here."
Finn than moved over to Kit's cell.
"Can't say it isn't a joy to see you locked up, again."
Kit had merrily rolled her eyes, "really big boy, it's been three years and that's the best you got?"
"Some of us have been busy being a productive member of society and don't have time for games."
"You call guarding a mental prison that can guard itself, filled with crazies.
Along with being Victor's bitch, being a 'productive member of society?'
Really Finnick?"
Ivy had been shocked Finn hadn't given Kit a reaction, "Victor definitely made the right choice."
Kit should have bitten her tongue, "what are you talking about?"
Finn smiled, "Let's just say I'm not the only one who's been busy, over the last three years."
"What the fuck is that suppose to mean?"
Finn smiled turned along with the gleam in his eyes turned almost possessed, "Victor has decided to keep you after all, no trial for you."
Kit saw it than, the next twenty, even fifty years.
She imagined Ivy dead within the next ten years from Victor's, 'treatment'.
Than she would be alone, and one of Victor's possessions just like her uncle Terrett had been.
Kit had no doubt that Terrett would get her out but the question of the hour was how long would it take?
A trial with the promise of death, almost seemed like a blessing compared to being one of Victor's lab rats.
How long would it take her to go mad?
How long until she loved Victor?
That was the end goal.
All of Victor's lab rats ended up in love with him.
He would keep them, whether it took twenty five, fifty years or a millennium.
Victor would wait and once his patients showed that they had cared for him he would kill them.
Victor cared for two things, learning and breaking people.
Unlike most fae who only cared for power.
Finn had vanished after that, having done what he meant to.
He made Kit and Ivy rethink everything they had thought they knew.
He had gone back to wherever he spent his time in this hellhole.Ivy life had quickly in the matter of minutes become the same as it had been when she was eleven and twelve.
When she met with Victor she had been surprised to find he had the let 'bygones be bygones' attitude.
He told her that she was, 'sick' and it wasn't her fault that she had been 'corrupted' by criminals.
The only difference was she hadn't had to worry about Kit's trial because she was now viewed the same as Ivy.
For whatever reason, Victor had picked them as his newest conquest.
His newest challenge, Ivy wondered how long until he got bored of his two newish toys.Ari had resented Nik to the fullest extent possible.
Resentment was too kind of a word for what he felt for his brother.
Hate was more accurate but for whatever reason it didn't some up the jealousy.
Ari had seen Ivy a total of four times in the last three years.
Compared to seeing her almost every night they two years before it was incomparable.
Ari's hatred had grown for his brother, he waited so long to ask for his help because he knew something like this would have happened.
He knew Nik would use Ivy against him.
Ari had been of course correct, Nik had used Ivy to blackmail his brother to doing whatever he wanted.
When Ivy lived with Nivens and Terrett Ari hadn't known the location, he couldn't remember because Nik had spelled him to forget as soon as he life.
No matter what Ari did, he could never remember where Ivy was so he couldn't visit her without Nik.
Ari hated himself for this thought but over the last three years he had wished time and time again that Ivy was still in The House Of Madness.
That would mean Kit would be dead but Ari hadn't cared because it would have meant he always knew where Ivy was.
