Victor was antsy.
It had been twenty eight days since the compass shattered.
'She should of remembered by now', Victor thought.
Victor was a patient man but not even he was this patient.
"Ivy needs to know, she needed to know yesterday!" Victor screamed at an uninterested Finn.
"Yes, well... things always have a funny way of working out don't they?" Finn said with a full smile of sharp shark teeth."Get up!"
Ivy squinted, "morning to you to Finn."
Finn growled.
"Fine, I'm up", Ivy said as Finn unlocked her cell door.
"When I drop my keys I want you to run."
Ivy had misheard him, "what?"
He dropped his keys after Ivy stepped out of her cell.
Ivy hesitated for a second, assuming this was a trap and she would be punished for running.
In the end she ran, she made it one step out of the dungeon when she felt Victor.
She had grown use to his presence and without even looking she could tell it was him.
Finn sighed.
He had hoped Victor wouldn't have gotten to her so soon but he wasn't surprised he had.
Finn had wanted to test the waters; he had wanted to piss off Victor.
Victor was technically his superior but no fae was exactly jumping at the chance to be guard of the House Of Madness.
So him and Victor were at a stalemate.
They both hated one other but they couldn't kill the other.
If Finn tried to kill Victor he would be going against the royals because it was obvious Victor had an understanding with queen Hestia.
Victor couldn't kill Finn because finding a guard would be too much work.
"Come, Ivy. Treatment today is going to be different, I have figured out a way to fix you!"
'Fuck me', Ivy thought, 'at least today won't be boring.'
Victor had been very excited!
He had come to the conclusion that human brains were different than fae.
Which meant there was a chance Ivy would never remember, so Victor made the noble decision to make her remember.
When Ivy walked into the usual torture room she was erie because the table that she was always strapped to was gone.
The shock treatment was atrocious but Ivy had always known what to expect.
With the table gone Ivy hadn't known what to think.
She needed to get as much information with little fishing, "no shock treatment today?"
Ivy was growing more anxious by the second to make matters worse her voice cracked.
"As I said, today we're going to try something new! I am confident it will work and you'll be cured!"
Ivy wasn't sick, she wasn't even sure if she still had depression.
Actually, she was never sure because only Victor had diagnosed her and he wasn't a real doctor.
Probably, the furthest thing from one, but deep down, Ivy suspected that maybe he wasn't wrong about that.
'He's a fucking nut case, so his diagnosis don't count.' Ivy thought to herself; she could tell herself whatever she needed to hear but that didn't mean it was true.
She was mentally ill.
But wasn't everyone?Ivy should of asked what he wanted to cure her of but she hadn't.
"Follow me", Ivy followed him because her curiosity made her stupid.
They went deeper into the room, it was so dark Ivy could hardly see but just light enough she wished she couldn't see.
White dirty padded walls like an asylum.
Victor stopped in front of a large fish tank filled with water, "yes, here we are. Whenever you're ready get in."
He couldn't be serious, "I don't know how to swim."
"Good thing you aren't going in there to swim."
Ivy ran.
Victor for the first time in this encounter grabbed her.
Ivy was terrified, "won't this mess with my shock treatment?!"
Ivy hadn't know what, 'this' was but she knew she would pick the shock treatment over it any day.
Victor's hold on her relaxed the slightest bit, not nearly enough for her to escape.
"I'm sorry Ivanna, of course you're afraid of how this will affect your other treatment!
I should of explained. They isn't going to be any overlap with today's treatment and the shock treatment you've been experiencing."
That should of calmed Ivy, it hadn't.
"Now, do you want me to drop you in or do you want to climb the ladder and go in yourself?"
"Neither! This is absurd! You don't have to do this!"
"Ivanna, I'm doing this for you!
I want to help you! I've been patient but I'm starting to think you'll never remember on your own. Which means I have to help you, don't fear; you will remember! I'm certain!"
"Remember what!" Ivy screamed as she was dropped by Victors talons into the fish tank and was instantly met with cold murky water.
There was no way out.
Ivy could barely keep her head above water, she hadn't even noticed the top was closing in.
Until it was too late, the top had closed, the tank was full with more water coming out to full the top.
It was only seconds until Ivy was fully submerged under the water.
Ivy knew if she didn't do anything she was going to die.
The tank was glass, which meant it could be broken.
Ivy let herself sink, never having been so afraid.
Once she was near the bottom of the ridiculously large tank she kicked.
She kicked again and again.
The glass hadn't even cracked before she felt a bolt of electricity hit her.
