The journey towards the Hidden Mist Village had been fortunately anticlimactic. There were thankfully no Mist Ninja staying guard in the forests as there usually should, but whatever the reason was, Hikari only chose to be thankful to keep a low profile. Call it a first time in forever, but after the events that happened in his timeline, Hikari couldn't help but agree on the necessity of it.

Now that he thought about it, if news ever broke out, then the plan would be foiled.

Fortunately for him, Shisui cooperated better than expected.

"Shisui"

Shisui hums in question, looking at him from the corner of his eye as they both venture the deserted streets of the nearest portion of the village. Mist covered their vision slightly.

"You haven't eaten anything, have you?" Hikari questions even though he already knew the answer. But, it didn't hurt to hear it from the teen himself. It was a good way to confirm something. Like a test of some sort.

Hikari could see the boy visibly parking at the question, before immediately answering in an offhanded tone that didn't completely hide the stubbornness in it, "Pfft, it's fine- '' Wow, the boy already failed.

"3 days," Hikari interrupts, looking at him sternly, honestly displeased at the answer. Shisui inwardly cringes at the scolding tone, still, he tries to protest

"Well, I can't just waste more of our time! We have some Mist Ninjas that need their asses kicked-"

"3 days," the older man repeats bluntly, emphasis clinging into his voice as he lets his eyes narrow sharply as he turns to look at the boy's face with much regard. The younger teen's face looked much paler ever since they exited the cave's dark. Though the sun was hardly seen through the cloudy climate of the village, he knew that if the sun were to come lighting clearly on Shisui, his unnatural pale skin would be much more sickening to see. "As a shinobi, it's best for you to acknowledge the fact that lying to yourself holds no benefit in your own wellbeing." The older man's voice left no argument.

Seeing as Shisui made no move to retort, Hikari took that as his cue to proceed finding a fitting diner.

"You... aren't going to eat?" Shisui asks as he splits his chopsticks into two, looking at the older man with an eyebrow raised.

"Unfortunately, no," HIkari says sullenly while noticeably looking away.

Even from where he was sitting, Shisui could easily detect the pout in his face. And with the food still in his mouth, he had to bite it back or else it would spill. The food here is unfairly but understandably expensive for just one meal. The Mist aren't really the richest right now so Shisui knew he should have expected something like this. Luckily and also much to his dismay, Hikari-san apparently agreed to pay for it despite how ridiculously high it was, but somehow, his protest stopped when he saw Hikari-san pulling out his own wallet, which by the way is none other than a frog for wallet that Shisui couldn't stop himself but stare dumbfoundedly at the contrasting difference of-well-everything!

Shisui already knew it was getting difficult to stifle his laughs if that was the case, the thought of finding out something uncharacteristically unlike Hikari-san from the rumors that oh-so praised him, he's honestly glad that he has a childish side somewhere. Shisui's even lucky enough to crack him through a bunch of teasing that always seemed to work on Itachi. Though a little bit, Shisui found himself successful when after Hikari-san and he exited the small diner, he found himself eyeing the older man's sulky behavior, showing a pout that went visible in his face, and a smile started to break the ravenette's face.
