!Arc here. Sorry no picture this time, I didn't feel like drawing one and wattpad has been a pain in the butt to add photos to presently. Again I apologize!

I try to concentrate on the scents once again. After a while, I decide I can't rely on being able to smell where everyone is, I have to go look. I stand up, a little wobbly, and walk towards the door of this room. I open it as quietly as I can. Peaking my head out, I take a look around. It's darker here than where we were before. All of the lights are out and the stench of death is overpowering. As I step out into the hall a drumbeat is made and a wall disappears from my left. I decide that I should maybe follow where the walls open and close, they could perhaps give me a hint about where to go.

I creep along the wall and enter the new room. The smell of blood is strong as well as the scent of death. I can't see much, however I can spot four figures. One has a sword! However, one of the four shadows is moving. Not carefully nor gracefully however. It's head snaps up and twists completely backwards to stare at me.

" Hi?" I ask.

That was a mistake. With a quiet gurgling sound the shadow lunges at me. I don't have enough time to react as the body makes contact with mine. It dropped a shoulder into my gut, sending me flying. I crash through the wall behind me and the wood breaks around the force. Pain shoots through my back as I'm sent through two rooms. I land on my stomach after breaking through the third wall. I try to stand up with no success. Warm liquid trickles out of my mouth. I gasp for air, I've been winded by a demon? How weak could I possibly be?

To be fair we can't see.

" Shut up," I grunt.

Finally I catch my breath and stand up. How dare that demon throw me through three walls...I need to get revenge for that embarrassment. I've got to get to that sword.

I can hear footsteps all around this room. My eyes dart, trying to follow the sound to glimpse the creature. However, this room is pitch black. I can't see a thing.

" Your blood smells sweet," a creaking voice announces.

After those words are spoken, I'm hit in the back, pushing me over. Obviously, my tactic isn't working. I'm guessing that this demon can see in the dark. I'm pushed through the floor underneath me and I crash to the floor below. Wood splinters around me as it lands on the ground around me. Okay, if I can't see, I'll have to use my other senses. I calm myself and my rapid breathing. I shut my eyes and listen closely. Wind rushes down at me and I roll to my left. A thud proceeds from the place I was just lying at. I stand up and raise my hands up to my head.

" You aren't a demon slayer! Why fight?" The same every voice echoes through the room.

The air here is warm and stuffy, I should be able to feel where the cold air devised from movement is. Footsteps rush around me, on the wall and roof as well. I pinpoint the location of each noise and calculate where the demon will be next. Being that the noise came from my left, the warm air was disturbed traveling in a diagonal line to my right towards my back and the scent of the demon should place him right-

I take a step to the left and swing my shoulders to face the demon in a parallel line. Wind blows past my face. I can hear the demon step down with his left foot and the warm air pivots, which should place his face in-front of mine. I do a backflip and land on my feet then duck. Wind rushes above my head. Due to calculations, I know that the demon's right arm was the one that punched. It grunts in surprise as I bring my fist up and punch it in the jaw, sending it hurling backwards. Pain ricochets through my ribs and back.

" Your blood smells sweet too," I say tauntingly.

" How can you see?" The demon asks, furiously.

" Magic," I respond.

I've solved the issue of not being able to see, but I still can't kill this creature. Either I have to defend myself while searching for either Zenitsu or Tanjiro, or I have to find that room with the dead demon slayer. The demon is getting frantic, I can tell. I wonder if demons taste good? I can't let my mind wander, if I do, I'll lose this fight. The demon comes at me again, this time from above. I take a few quick steps back and prepare for a punch. I block the attack that was aimed at my right ribs with my forearm. The sheer force behind the punch as so much that it could shatter my bones into pieces. Punches after punches are thrown and I can only dance around so many.

What was shown earlier on the trip to this mansion is that I don't have as much stamina as I would like to have. I won't be able to keep this up. Fatigue will set in and then I'm definitely dead.

The first demon that I killed was distracted and didn't know I was going to put up a fight. Also, due to how I looked, it could tell that I wasn't human. It was scared of me because it didn't know what I was. I jump over the demon's head and do a half twist and land on my right foot. I push off of the floor and leap towards the wall, crashing through it. Drumbeats start echoing through the halls, changing the rooms one after another. Disorientation sets in once again, but I have to keep busting through walls. Pain shoots all through my body. I'm not running away from the demon, but rather trying to find the weapon to kill it. I can feel blood running down my arms and I can hear it dripping on the floor.

I follow the scent of death, to my best capability. Eventually my vision starts to get blurry and my eyes water. My arms are sore from bracing the impact of all the walls I broke through. I pause to catch my breath.

" Why am I so weak?" I shake my head, gasping for air.

I can't bear it.

I start running again, honing in on the scent of death. I have to make it there, I have to kill this demon to prove my worth to Tanjiro and Nezuko. To show them that I'm useful, important and that I need to be kept around. Finally, I crash into the darkest room filled with that smell. I fumble around with my hands acting as guides, desperately looking for the sword. The demon is catching up to me, I can hear it.

" Just let me find it!" I hiss.

My hand touches cold metal and a shock runs through me. I grab the blade and then the handle. The sword is a little dull, so a certain amount of physical strength is required, which is something I can do. The demon bursts into the room in surprise.

" You found the sword," it says, reluctantly.

I hold the sword in front of me, prepared for any attack. Fury burns through me.

" And you pissed me off," I say, threateningly.

I charge the demon with great speed and side-step left. I can tell that the demon was prepared for an attack from the right, because that's my dominant hand. It wasn't prepared for me to swing with one hand. With all my force I drive the blade into the demon's neck. The metal gets caught every little movement, but I keep forcing it through. The demon stands frozen, blood gone literally cold. It's like it's frozen in time as I slice the head off. The sword clears the demon's neck. I'm crouched low to the ground, sword point towards the wall behind me. The head thuds on the floor and suddenly, the candles are all lit and I finally get to see my foe.

Blood is spread across the floor and flies buzz around the human corpses. I take a look at the demon and see that it's skin is pitch black with bright yellow eyes, which it has three of. It's a rather small demon, weight wise. It looks like it was starved for decades. How come it was so strong then?

Next step is to find Tanjiro or a way out to Nezuko. I decide that finding Tanjiro would be the best idea because that demon wasn't the one giving off that distinct odor I smelt earlier today. It makes me sick to my stomach that I've already taken so long to kill this one, simple demon. However, I've been humbled. I'll have to ask Tanjiro for training and see if I can find anyone with qualifications to teach me breathing techniques.

And now I have a sword! I can really fight and help out now. That's something good to come out of this situation. The drum beats repeatedly over and over. The noise sounds distraught and urgent. Tanjiro must be fighting whatever is that's making that sound. The house flips and rooms switch by each beat. It must be a demon that has something called a blood demon art. Tanjiro had explained me this. I try to take a step, but I falter. My bones are numb and my brain pounds in my head. What's going on? I feel like I'm going to die. There's no way this could be from the punches I took or breaking through walls. My hands are sore and beaten up.

Was the reason why the demon's blood froze...because I used a breathing technique?
