"Who the hell are you?" Arun's jaw clenched, Shreyas's gaze flitted to Deepika who was watching this exchange with mild interest. Shreyas decided that this guy was bad news right then and there, "None of your business."

"Actually is is my business, because she's my girlfriend and I saw you kissing her." Arun spat out each word with venom, Deepika inhaled to explain that she didn't know that he was still alive and that counts as a break-up. Shreyas beat her to it, "Man, it's obvious she doesn't want to be anywhere near you. Don't cross the line,"

"Your the one crossing a line by kissing my daughter, Mr.Iyer." An aged yet commanding voice said from behind the two arguing men. Deepika's eyes lit up as they landed on her father, Joseph Sharma.

"Dad!"

The morning rays fell through the window, the elderly man smiled fondly at his daughter. She was his literal world. Arun was a good man, he loved his daughter and had his approval. But who was this flamboyant cricketer who decided to show up in his daughter's life abruptly. His sweet little girl had gone through enough torment by losing her mother in last year after 'losing' Arun.

Cricketer's create a relationship and destroy some within seconds. They couldn't be trusted, but there were circumstances where they fell in love, but there's always heartbreak for the one on the other side. Trolling, hatred, and much more.

"Hello, little one." He smiled fondly, she rolled her eyes and huffed in way only youngsters could do. "I am not little, father." She responded. The two grown men were shadowed the moment she spoke.

"Uncle," Arun held out a hand, and he accepted the handshake with a firm grip. Deepika's eyes widened as she glanced between Arun and her father. "You knew?"

The question was asked in a softer tone, but one that held so much torment. Joseph nodded his head slowly, words came all the way to the tip of Deepika's tongue but she chose to remain silent. "I'll see you later, papa."

"Piku," He called quite sternly, "At least hear your father out?"

Hesitation obvious in her steps now, she whirled back around. And marched towards Arun, sizing him up she raised her hand.

And slapped him.

Joseph winced, understanding the anger behind the harsh movement.

"Ow," Arun mumbled, moving his jaw around to slow down the pain. Deepika swallowed the lump in her throat, glancing at Shreyas then Arun.

"Now, mind telling me who this pleasant young man is?" Joseph tapped his walking stick on the floor, eyeing Shreyas.

"He's my boyfriend,"
