Rufus

Me and Kendrick were sitting opposite sides of a booth while Penny was sitting between me and Malcolm.
We know Lidia and Mateo needed some time to chill out and work things out so I decided to take Penny out for breakfast at my favorite place.
“Hey Rufus and Malcolm? The usual ?” Wendy asked as she walked up to our table
“Yeah just the usual and what do you want to squirt?” I asked Penny
“Can I have waffles?” Penny asked sweetly
“Of course sweetheart” Wendy said writing down on her notepad
“And what about you?” She asked Kendrick
“Just black coffee and toast” Kendrick said
“Coming up” Wendy said and walked to the back
“Just coffee?” I questioned
“I work at a bakery, I eat sweet stuff all the time, Plain black coffee and toast balance everything else” Kendrick answered watching Penny play with sugar packets
“Why are you still here?” Malcom asked Kendrick
“You can go home” Malcom told him
“I’m here for Mateo, I want to make sure he’s okay before I head out” Kendrick said
I rolled my eyes knowing that it was because he still had feelings for Mateo and hoping being his white knight will make him run after him.
“So moving on from that, You were hooking up with Lidia?” I asked Malcom seeing him turn red embarrassed
“Were not just hooking up, I really like her” Malcom told me
Suddenly Mateo and Lidia walked in holding hand and Mateo sat next to Kendrick and Lidia sat next to him at the booth
“Are you guys good?” I asked with my chin in my hand knowing the answer by the smiles on their faces
Wendy came by with drinks to see we had more people
“Oh are y'all eating?” Wendy asked
“Oh I’ll have what Rufus has” Mateo said
“Same” Lidia shrugged and Wendy walked off
“So you guys aren’t hiding your relationship anymore” Kendrick asked drinking his coffee and making a disgusted face but kept drinking it
“No we can be public if Lidia okay with it” Malcom said rubbing the back of his head waiting for Lidia to say something
“Yeah” Lidia answered and looked him sweetly and Malcom blushed again
Wendy came back with our food
Mateo and Lidia looked confused seeing Fries and French toast together not knowing it’s what I order
