Chapter 35- Old Friends

~Cartiér's POV~

It Had Been 2 Days Since I Found Out I Was Pregnant. I Didn't Have Anybody To Talk To. And Honestly I Was Ashamed Of Myself. How Could I Have Gotten Caught Up Like This?

I Was At The House With Malani When My Phone Rang. It Was An Unknown Number.

"Hello" I Answered.

"Lil Bit. What's Kicking" The Man Asked.

I Instantly Knew Who It Was. It Was Damon's Older Brother Desmond.

"Hey. I Thought You Were In Texas?" I Asked.

"Yeah. I Was Down There In Training. Then I Went Over To Afghanistan. Now I'm Back. For Now At Least"

"Oh. What Made You Call Me?"

"Well I Don't Know What Happened With You And Damon, But I Want To Meet Baby"

"Oh. Well When Do You Want To See Her?"

"I Moved To SeaSide After I Came Back. Maybe You Can Drop Her Off Or Something."

"Alright. Actually I'm Free Now. Is That Cool?"

"Yeah."

"Cool. Text Me The Address And I Can Have Her There By 6"

"Cool. Bye"

I Hung Up And Went To Malani's. Room. She Was Sitting At The Table Coloring. She Came Up To Me And Hugged Me And Rubbed My Stomach. Old Superstition Says That Children Can Detect When Somebody's Pregnant And That Might Be True Because Malani Had Been Doing That A Lot.

"Lani You Want To Go Somewhere?" I Asked Her Picking Her Up.

"Where?" She Asked.

"You Gonna Meet Somebody Special"

"Is It Princess Elsa?" She Asked All Excited.

" Uhh No... But You Can Meet Princess Elsa Later"

"Okay" She Said Pouting,

"Come On It'll Be Fun. It's Kinda Like A Road Trip. I'll Get Us A Bunch Of Candy And We Can Listen To Frozen"

"Okay" She Said Smiling.

I Set Her Down And She Kissed My Stomach Again. I Packed Her A Bag And Got Some Candy And The Stupid Frozen Soundtrack. We Drove For About 3 Hours Until We Stopped At Desmond's House. I Got Out The Car and Got Malani Out From Her Car Seat In The Back. She Got Was Still Singing That Damn Song.

"Let It Go. Let It Go" She Sang As I Set Her Down.

She Hugged My Stomach And Held My Hand As We Knocked On The Door. Soon Desmond Opened It. He Gave Me A Quick Embrace And Looked Down At Malani.

"Hi. I'm Your Uncle Desmond" He Said.

"Hi" She Said Giving Him A Warm Smile And Then Looking At Me For Permission To Take His Hand And Go Inside.

"Go Head" I Said. Letting Her Go.

She Went Inside And I Came In After Them. We Talked For A Little Bit Then He Showed Malani To His Daughter Room. His Daughter Usually Stayed With Him On The Weekends, But I Guess She Couldn't Come.

I Was Sitting In The Living Room Scrolling Down My Twitter Feed When I Heard Him. I Thought It Was A Ghost. I Could've Sworn It Was A Ghost, But It Wasn't. I Looked Dead At My Past. Satan Was Standing Right Here In Front Of Me. He Was The Devil. Hiding Under The Beautiful Skin Of An Angel.

"So You're Some Big Star Now?" He Laughed Sitting Down Next To Me.

I Thought I Would Never See His Face Again. I Thought I Left Him In The Past. I Thought He Was Gone For Good.

"What's The Matter? Cat Got Your Tongue?" He Smiled.

His Hazel Eyes Twinkled. He Still Had That Wow Effect On Me. Even After 2 Years. He Was Beautiful. But On The Inside He Was Lucifer Himself.

"Baby I Don't Ever Remember You Being At A Loss Of Words Before. Now That You Done Turned Into Some Superstar You To Bougie To Talk To The Father Of Your First Born?" He Said Scooting Closer To Me. "What's Wrong Baby? You Look Like You've Seen A Ghost." His Voice Was A Low Whisper And I Swear I Was Dying. I Was In Hell. The Devil Was Sitting Right Here In Front Of Me. Taunting Me. I Turned Around And Looked Him In The Face. I Looked Him In The Eyes. Those Deadly Hazel Eyes That He Unfortunately Gave To My Baby Girl. I Gave Him A Small Smile.

"Hello Damon"
