~Cartiér's POV~
After Tianna Left The Dressing Room, I Put On My Gown And Looked In The Mirror. Hakeem And Jamal Were Finished Performing And I'd Be Coming Out In A Few Minutes.
Suddenly, The Entirety Of What I Was Doing Crushed Down On Me. I Was Going To Be Performing At The Biggest Club Opening. And I Was Performing A Song That Honestly Meant A Lot To Me. I Just Couldn't Even Function. I Was Definitely Freaking The Fuck Out.
"Hey Are Youu-" Jamal Started As He Came In The Room. He Paused Running Over To Me.
"I Can't Do This Jamal" I Said My Head In My Hands.
"What?" He Asked
"I Can't Do This. All These People Watching Me. This Is A Big Opening And I Just Can't Handle The Pressure. I Just Don't Wanna Fuck Up" I Said
"Listen, You Have The Talent To Go Out There And Make Everybody Remember Your Name. Don't Even Worry About Them" He Said Picking My Head Up.
"I Know But I've Never Performed In Front Of This Many People" I Said.
"How About This, I Go And Stand In The Front Of The Stage And You Sing To Me?" He Said Grabbing My Hand And Pulling Me Up Out The Chair.
Soon I Heard Lucious' Voice Over The Mic. "Now We're Going To Slow Things Down With Empire's Newest Artist.. Cartiér"
I Stepped Out Onto The Stage As Many People Began Applauding My Outfit And Snapping Pictures. I Seen Hakeem In The Back.... With Tianna. Hakeem Winked At Me. Tianna Waved And Blew A Kiss. I Gave Them Both A Warm Smile. As Promised Jamal Was Right Here In The Front.
I Reached The Microphone And Just Started Making Small Talk With The Crowd. "How's Everybody's Night Going" I Asked. Many People Just Clapped. "Leviticus Is Hell Of A Club. Everybody Give Lucious And Everybody At Empire A Round Of Applause" I Said With A Smile. They Began Clapping And Stuff. "The Song I'm Gonna Sing For You Tonight Is Titled When It Rains. It's About That Night When You Let That One Ex Back In. Everybody Has That One Ex They Can't Let Go" The Crowd Uproared In Claps And Cheers. I Smiled Butterflies Still In My Stomach. I Looked Down At Jamal He Gave Me A Reassuring Smile. "This Is When It Rains" I Said As The Beat Started.
I Looked At Jamal The Whole Time. I Looked At The Crowd But The Crowd Was Looking At Us. It Was Crazy. But From What I Could Tell Everybody Loved It. I Was Pouring My Heart Out On This Mic Tonight, I Knew Somebody Out There Was Feeling The Same Way.
As The Song Ended The Crowd Roared In Cheers And Claps. I Felt Amazing. I Told Everybody Thank You And Ran To The Back Where Jamal Was Standing Waiting For Me.
"You Did It" Jamal Said.
I Ran And Jumped In His Arm And Gave Him A Big Hug.
"Yeah Only Because Of You." I Said
"What?! No You Were A Natural" He Said Setting Me Down.
Suddenly We Heard Clapping Coming From The Front Of The Dressing Room.
~Jamal's POV~
Lucious Entered The Dressing Room Smiling With This Idiotic Look In His Eyes.
"That Was Beautiful Cartiér, You Really Stole The Show"He Said Going Over And Slightly Embracing Her.
"Thank You Mr.Lyons"
"I Told You Call Me Lucious,Mr.Lyons Is Way Too Formal" He Said "Can I Have A Minute Alone With My Son?" He Asked.
"Of Course" She Said "Thanks Again Jamal" She Said Kissing My Cheek And Leaving The Room.
"Jamal I Want To Congratulate You On Your Performance Tonight. It Was Just Splendid To Watch Both My Sons Up There Performing." He Said Taking A Seat On The Couch. It Was Hilarious. If Only He Knew What Almost Went Down On That Couch.
I Grabbed A Chair And Sat In Front Of Him. "Yeah, Thanks" I Said Knowing He Didn't Want To Talk About My Performance.
"Also I Wanted To Thank You For Making Cartiér Feel Comfortable Here At Empire. You And Her Are Quite Close. A Lot If People Are Speculating Things, But I Know Better. But Maybe She's What You Needed. You Know To Get You In The Right Path."He Said
I Couldn't Believe He'd Sit Here And Say This BullShit To Me. He Knows Good And Damn Well That I'm Being Nice To Cartiér Because She's Apart Of Team Cookie And She's Been Around The Most. I Rolled My Eyes Irritated And Ready To Snap.
"Look Jamal, It's No Reason To Get Upset. Maybe You Just Thought You Were Gay But Now That You've Met Cartiér You've Changed Your Mind. You Two Do Have A Lot In Common. Both Of You Are Parents. Both Of You Are Phenomenal Singers and Song Writers. I Understand If You Want To Rethink Your Sexuality. But No Pressure"
"Listen Cartiér Is Not My Girlfriend And I Don't Think Of Her That Way. She's Like My Little Sister. I'm Sorry But You're Just Going To Have To Deal With The Fact That I'm Gay." I Said Getting Up And Walking Away. I Couldn't Believe He Would Sit There And Say That Crap To Me. He Has Some Real Nerve.

Lucious Smiled And Looked Down At His IPad And Smiled At The Headline Of The Blog

It Was A Shot Of Them On The Red Carpet And Another Shot Of Them Holding Hands.
Lucious Laughed To Himself "It's Too Late Jamal"
Across The Bar Hakeem Was Reading The Same Blog. He Couldn't Help The Jealousy And Anger Rising In Him. He Knew This Article Was Far From True But He Couldn't Help Wondering If Jamal Really Did Like Her. And Everybody Noticed How They Were Staring At Each Other Her Whole Performance. It Was Like They Were The Only Two In The Room. Hakeem Got A Bad Feeling About This.
He Really Didn't Understand Why He Cared For This Girl So Much. He Thought It Was Just Sex But He Really Felt Like It Was More.
