Chapter 13~ Rumors

~Cartiér's POV~

"Lil Girl What The Hell Is This?" Cookie Said Throwing Some Tabloid In My Face. And Waking Me Up From My Sleep.

I Was Utterly Exhausted From The Night Before. All That Socializing And Networking For Potential Offers Was Tiring. But If I Didn't Do It Somebody Else Would.

"How Did You Get In My House?" I Asked Groggily.

"I Made A Copy Of Your Key" She Said Like That Was A Perfectly Sane Answer.

"And That's Aight To You?" I Asked

"Yes Girl, Now Are You Gonna Answer My Question Or What?"

I Looked Down At The Tabloid She Threw At Me. Pictures Of Jamal And I Were Plastered All Over The Front. One Of Me Jumping In His Arms And Hugging Him Backstage. Another Of His Arms Around Me On The Red Carpet. Then One Of Us Holding Hands. This Was Obviously Was A Misunderstanding And It Was Completely Ridiculous. I Began To Burst Out With Laughter.

"Cookie You Just Brightened My Whole Morning. I Hope You Invited Jamal Over So We Can Laugh About This. This Is Completely Ludicrous." I Laughed Out.

"No It's Not!" Cookie Yelled "You Two Have Some Serious People Talking About Y'all. And Honestly I Don't Blame Them For Having Suspicions. If I Didn't Jamal Was Gay I Would Too"

"You're Joking Right?" I Couldn't Believe She Was All Upset Over Something That We All Know Wasn't True.

"I'm Not Joking. If You Two Want These Rumors To Die Down Then You Need To Spend Less Time Together"

"Cookie I Understand That You Don't Want These Rumors To Get Out Of Hand, But I'm Not Going To Stop Hanging Out With Jamal" I Said

"Well At Least Cut Down The PDA. I Know You Find Your Friendship Innocent And Simple, But There Are Some People That Will Take These Rumors And Completely Spin Them Out Of Control.

"Okay Cookie" I Said Exasperated And Finally Giving In.

"Mhhhmm Whatever" She Said Getting Up And Leaving.

I Stood Up And Got Dressed. Malani & I Had A Play Date With Jamal & His Daughter Lola At Chuck E Cheese. He Would Be Here Any Time Now So I Had To Get Malani Dressed.

~Jamal's POV~

I Had Picked Lola Up From My Dad's House In A Town Car. At First I Wasn't Too Excited To Be A Dad But I Have A Lot Of Love For My Daughter. Even Though Her Mother Dropped Her Off Here, I Still Don't Want Her To Be Lonely. That's Why We're Going On This Play Date.

And Yeah I Know I Probably Shouldn't Be With Cartiér Since All Of The Rumors About Us Are Out There, But I Really Don't Care.

I Sent Cartiér A Text As We Were Pulling Up Outside Her BrownStone.

Jamal-

Where You At Kidd??

Cartiér-

I'm Grown Asff But We On Our Way Down.

Jamal-

Aight Hurry Up Kidd

We Waited A Few More Seconds Before She Exited The Building And Got In The Car With Malani. Malani Sat Next To Lola And They Immediately Began Talking And Playing.

"So How Has My New "BoyFriend's" Day Been?" She Asked Jokingly.

"It's Been Great "Bae" How About You?"

"Good Except Your Mother Barged In My House And Assaulted Me With Tabloids. Did You Know She Copied My Key?"

I Laughed "Well That's Cookie For You"

Soon We Pulled Up Across The Street From Chuck E Cheese. Once We Got Out We Were Swarmed By Paparazzi. I Don't Even Know How They Followed Us Here. I Made Lola And Malani Hold Hands In The Middle And Cartiér And I Walked On The Ends. I Know How This Must've Looked, But It Was Nothing More Than A Play Date.

Once We Got In Chuck E. Cheese We Sat Down And Played Games And Had A Great Time.

~Lucious' POV~

I Was Holding A Press Conference To Address Some Of The Bad Media And Rumors Going Around Empire. I Had To Clear Up The Kid FoFo Controversy And The Issues On Hakeem And Tianna. It Would Hopefully Get Good Buzz Going On Empire.

"Mr. Lyon Are You Upset About Billy Baretti Stealing Kid FoFo" One Man From Hip Hop Weekly Asked.

"Billy Baretti Did Not Steal Kid FoFo. We Dropped That Artist And He Then Went To Baretti's Company" I Stated.

"Mr.Lyon How Are Hakeem And Tianna Dealing With Tianna's Cheating Scandal" Another Asked

"My Son Was Hurt But He Still Decided To Stay With Tianna And Save Their Young Love" I Replied.

"Mr. Lyon What About Jamal And Cartiér? Are They Dating? Do They Live Together? You Must Know" Said A Young Woman.

My Mind Was Blown. In My Hand I Had The Opportunity To Change My Reality. It Was Almost Like The Cuban Missle Crisis. I Laughed To Myself As I Looked At This Woman And Smirked, Ready To Shock The System.
