The most extroverted sibling of the Locke bunch. Lorelei Oasis Locke otherwise known as Lore by her family. She took their dad's death the hardest. She loved him the most. While they were a tight knit family before his passing, Lorelei always spent the most time with him. Because you see, Lorelei wasn't Nina's daughter, she was Erin's.

Shortly after knowledge of Nina's first pregnancy got out, the mental hospital in Matheson, Massachusetts contacted Rendell Locke. They called to inform him that Erin had had a baby and if he didn't want her, the baby would go into state custody.

They found the baby through Erin's muttering. She kept whispering a name, Lorelei. They looked her up in the system and found she was a two year old girl in Matheson Orphanage.

On the road of redemption to make up for his past, he took the baby in. Lorelei Oasis Locke was now the first born of Rendell Locke. Nina accepted the baby and treated her as her own.

Rendell and Nina originally fought a lot because of him keeping Lorelei a secret but Rendell explained he had no idea Erin was pregnant when he left. Rendell felt terrible about keeping Lorelei from her birth mother but he didn't want to see her leave him for Erin.

Lorelei always felt as if she didn't belong, that there was something missing in her life. She was the first to hear all of her fathers stories, she was the one who took care of her siblings when her parents couldn't, the third person to hold them. Lorelei was the perfect older sibling. She looked out for them, watched over them.

They all told her everything. Tyler's first crush, his first interest in hockey, Kinsey's first fight, hung Kinsey's first real piece of art, Bode's first steps, bought Bode his first action figure. She was like the mother they never had but wasn't like a real mother who'd you hide things from.

She was always there for them, their most trusted sibling...but no one was ever there for her. She never felt close with Nina but was always there to help her with projects or parenting. She was close with Rendell, her father. She spent all her spare time with him, even participating in activities she didn't like for him, for example fishing. She witnessed the change in her father, the true happiness he felt with Nina.

When Lorelei turned 18, Rendell thought it best to tell her her origins. How Nina wasn't her real mom. She took it like a champ and told Nina that she was her mom through and through. Her birth mom never tried getting into contact with her, and put her in an orphanage. That spells out "I don't want you."

Lorelei worked two jobs, a waitress and a substitute teacher for the school Rendell worked at. She subbed on weekdays and waitressed on weekends. She made decent money thanks to her looks and kind nature. Customers tipped more when she was able to calm the fussy children with just a touch. She did online college that she got a scholarship for. She was content in her life and the way it was going. It was steady, not too fast, not too slow. She was constantly progressing.

Until one day, her world stopped. She was home with Rendell when Sam, Tyler's friend broke in. Lorelei hid Kinsey, and Bode under the table. She attempted to talk Sam down, trying her best to answer the weird questions about keys. Rendell discouraged her but she approached Sam, saying they could help him. They could make his life better. The floor creaked under her step and Sam realized how close she moved to him. He was caught off guard and shot her.

She looked up from her wound as he then hit her in the face, leaving a deep mark. Rendell tried to come to her rescue as Tyler came home from school. Tyler saw his older sister on the ground, bleeding heavily. He shouted at Sam just before he shot his dad to death. Sam looked at Tyler before stomping on Lorelei.

Sam never liked Lorelei, she was a blessing too good to be true. Angels didn't exist so why did Lorelei? Sam could fix that.

He beat her down until she whispered "never thought I'd meet you, Randy." Randy was Sam's dad, who abused him and his sister. Sam always took the beatings for his sister. He hated his dad. As Lorelei called him Randy, he froze in shock of what he became if only for a minute. He became what he hated most, his father. Hurting defenseless, innocent people.

Nina came in and hit him over the head with a hammer. Nina rushed to Rendell and held his dying body in her arms as Tyler rushed to Lorelei. She took quick, labored breaths.
"Ty..." She looked at him desperately.
"Lore please you can't die on us please!"
"Kin-Kinsey...Bo-de..." Tyler caught onto what she was trying to say. She wanted him to go check on his younger siblings. He shook his head in refusal to leave her alone. He held her hands and pleaded with her. She held up her hand and stuck out her pinky.

It was the promise she made to everyone in the house. I'll be wherever you go. She even had it tattooed in acronym form. Tyler inhaled shakily before leaving. Kinsey, and Bode, They shouldn't witness this. They needed their big brother to reassure them. He rushed up and got under the table and led his siblings outside. As he walked out with them, the cops were driving in. They all saw Lorelei get rushed into the ambulance with Rendell following shortly after into another. The cops took the siblings into protective custody for the time being and investigated the situation.
