They cantered over the beautiful hills of the Maor'la Forest, Mahi snacking on chocolate. They stopped for the night at a beautiful clearing in the woods. Too quiet. "Hey, guys? I don't think we should stay here." said Kuttu, looking at her friends. "I can't afford to go any longer, Aria's getting cranky." Mahi whispered, gesturing towards her sound-asleep sister. Jiti nodded softly, hesitantly looking at the sleeping Gagana, who mumbled a little bit. "And plus. We're tired. This is worse than doing all those Tornadoes in the playground back at home." said Nandini, yawning loudly. Anshu agreed with Kuttu. "Guys, this place is too quiet. Saramus told me that there are Luoxes inhabiting here!" Anshu exclaimed, though her friends shrugged off the thought. "Puh-lease! I'm exhausted, and I wanted to challenge Mittu to a rock-paper-scissors match, the winner gets to eat the other's piece of leftover turkey." said Cusley lazily, Mittu nodding. "I must get these documents written down, I'm sorry." said Cassandra apologetically. The walker was sound asleep. Kuttu sighed. As she opened up her sleeping bag, she noticed the walker had a locket around her neck. She knew it would be rude if she opened it, but she only wanted a glimpse. After a while, unable to contain her curiosity, she, most unwillingly, opened the locket. Inside was a picture of the walker laughing, and a young man beside her. As she looked closer, she noticed the walker had a ring on her hand. A wedding ring. "Kuttu?" said a voice behind her. Anshu was standing there. "What-what are you doing?" she said, sitting down beside her. "I'm looking at the walker's locket." she said. Anshu gasped. She sat beside Kuttu and a grave look came on her face. "I know what happened. She told me in private. I shan't tell you because it's very secret. I'll tell you once you're ready. Now hurry up and close that locket." she whispered. Kuttu obeyed and they both lay, looking at the stars. "Anshu?" "Yes?" "Do you...think I'm good enough for this mission? I mean...I always mess up at home, say things I don't mean. I'm always in trouble." Kuttu said, her eyes glistening with tears. "Well...I'm not sure if you're good or not, but we know you're good enough for us. Everyone has flaws." Anshu said quietly. Kuttu nodded, and went to sleep.
When they woke up in the middle of the night, Mittu looked terrified and ran to her sister, hugging her. "Did-did you hear a growl Gayatri?" Nandini whimpered, her arms around her elder sister's waist. "Yup." Gayatri whispered back, too scared to be annoyed. Aria cried loudly, before Mahi clamped her hand around her mouth. Kuttu took two steps towards where the growling was. She pulled aside the leaves and found...Chewie! The little dog yapped happily and jumped on his owner. "Chewie!" screamed everyone. Fred scratched him around the ears. "Woof." said Chewie. To the girls' surprise, Cusley laughed loudly. "Oh, really? Ohhh. He came all this way to find us, after noticing the..furless maniac? I guess that's what he calls the walker." Cusley said, after explaining he could talk to dogs. "Wow, you're lucky!" Anshu said to him. "Woof?" said Chewie. "He's asking what you're doing here and he likes the elves." said Cusley to Kuttu. Suddenly they heard a much bigger growl. "A Luox!" Kuttu whispered, recognizing the call immediately, from her folktale from English class. Miss Sana had especially complimented on that one. "It's incredible Samriddhi, you managed to describe the call of the Luox perfectly. Well done." Miss Sana's voice echoed in her head. The growling came closer and closer. "Chewie..didn't happen to bring Buddy or Oreo along, right?" said Nandini, terrified. "No!" said Kuttu, crying out. Finally, out jumped a lion, a tall one, and a girl was riding on it. She had dirty-blonde hair and fierce hazel eyes. "Luoxia!" Kuttu said happily. The girl slid down and hugged Kuttu, shook Cassandra's shaken hand, and bowed to the walker. "Who are you?" said Fred. "I'm Luoxia. Kuttu created me, years ago. She soon forgot about me, but recreated me and gave me life." Luoxia said briefly. "Well K, I expect Pimpi'll be along soon." Luoxia said, turning to the girl, and her face becoming rosy.
"Who's..Pimpi?' said Gayatri. "Oh, you'll see. Anyway. Diamond! Parker! They're my dog and cat." Luoxia replied. "C-CAT?!' cried Mittu, like she just spotted a yeti in the wild. The girl screamed and clambered for the nearest trees. "Pfft, you're like a baby." said Kuttu, looking at her terrified sister. "Don't tell that to the boys when we go back home!" Mittu squealed as her sister stroked the little cat. "Awww, she's cute. Usually the cats at home run away from us." said Chakrika, patting Diamond. "THAT'S WHY I LIKE THE CATS BACK HOME! AND THAT'S WHY THEY LIKE ME!" Mittu shouted. "Stop being such a crybaby and GET DOWN." Jiti yelled. Kuttu could tell Mittu and Jiti were about to fight, and luckily a girl stepped out of the bushes, with a guy in a wheelchair, and a pretty girl around the same age as the boy. The other girl had pink hair and brown-black, dark pink overalls. "Pimpi!" Kuttu cheered. She ran to the girl and squeezed her tight. "Kuttu! Helloooo! I'm so glad we're all here!" she said cheerfully. If you looked closer, Pimpi's gold eyes had hints of green in them that were dancing with excitement. Pimpi was hardly ever sad, which was quite a surprise since her uncle used to treat her like a servant and didn't care much for her brother either. Then her planet got destroyed, but she escaped with her brother and her best friend Mabel. Aria loved Pimpi. She giggled and jumped around with her. Jiti rather liked the fierce, fiery Luoxia, and the two talked for hours riding on Lir, Luoxia's Luox. "Enjoying sis?" Kuttu yelled out. "Yup! Thanks for creating this cutie!" Mittu chirped. Kuttu winked.
