Homesick

You missed your mother more than you could explain, she was the one person in your life that you could lean on, she was there when your father was being difficult. You wanted to go back to visit her but you didn't want to have to deal with your dad, you knew how he would react to you coming back and bringing a certain girlfriend of yours with you. You had left the group in the middle of the night to go to that island you and Toph found together, your mind was going a million miles a minute and it wouldn't slow down. You brought Delta with you to the island because he gave you the kind of homely comfort that honestly nothing or no one here could give to you, sure you love Toph but she didn't remind you of home, she just gave you strength you didn't know was possible and true love. She loves you for you , it sounds cheesy sure, but it is true. Your mind calmed down enough and you dozed off sleeping for who knows how long, your eyes fluttered open and you couldn't tell how long you had been asleep for, you contemplated going back to the group but you were enjoying some peace and some much needed alone time.

Toph POV

"Calm down she's fine, she probably just needs some time alone. Because we all know that she hasn't had much of that with us" Aang said trying to calm Toph down. "But I'm still worried about her, what if she leaves us to go back to the water tribe she hasn't even been there in a long time and I don't know if she has written to her family" Toph said pacing "She's not the kind of person to just up and leave, granted we haven't known her for that long but she's definitely not gone, I had Momo go out earlier to see if he could find her and he did, she's fine and safe there is nothing to worry about" Aang tried to reassure her. "Ok..... but I still have a bad feeling like something isn't right" She had finally stopped pacing and calmed down slightly.

Your POV

You decided you want to go visit your family and at least take Toph with you, you wanted her to meet your mom and you honestly wouldn't feel right leaving her here. You wanted the others to come as well, they had said that they hadn't been to the northern water tribe in a very long time. You started back to tell them that you wanted to go and take them with you. Once you reached them you were greeted with a rock to the face. "Toph what the hell?" She came up to you and gave you a light punch to the chest followed by her resting her head on you "I was worried about you idiot..... I thought you left me" she mumbled into your chest "left you? Why would I do that, no I don't want to leave without you. Leading on to my next point, I want to go back to my water tribe to visit.." you were interrupted my Toph pushing herself off of you "so you do want to leave me..." she trailed off voice shaking as if she were scared, she wasn't crying so either she was scared or angry "You didn't let me finish, I want to visit my tribe and bring you all along, my mother would be thrilled to know that my leaving wasn't for nothing, and rather that I found what I was looking for and much more, so please will you all go with me?" You stood there a moment expecting that they didn't want to go along, " I'm down we haven't been there in a while and I would love to see where you grew up" Aang smiled and turned to the rest of the group to get them on his side. "It sounds like it could be fun" Katara said and Sokka nodded in agreement, "Toph?.." you were hesitant to what she would have to say "it could be fun I guess.." she rubbed her arm, "when do you all want to leave, I can go by boat if we leave at the right time, if we leave at the full moon I would be able to get there no problem" you said patting delta on the head "the next full moon is two days from now, how does that sound?" Katara said sounding excited, "sounds great!"

Author here ~^~^~ I'm sorry it literally took me forever to update, sorry about that I will try to do a schedule but no promises. And also I would like to say thank you to you gorgeous lovely amazing people because I have 5k reads as of February 5th, that's crazy thank you guys so much I cannot believe it, you all are amazing and I love all of you. Also it's crazy that people are still finding and voting on my story. Again thank you and if there is anything that I should be doing better with my story please tell me!! I love criticism! Also sorry for the short chapters also I absolutely am trash at titles for chapters so yea if you have any suggestions for title ideas please tell me.
