"So Reggie", Pandora said later that day, when she and Regulus sat in a random hallway, looking out of a window, "what are you doing in the Christmas holidays? I mean they're in..", Pandora started to count the time left on her fingers, "nine days. I'm probably gonna go with Sirius and James, to the Potters. So.. wish me luck that I don't die because they test a prank on me or something.", Pandora giggled which made Regulus smile. Pandora was kind of his only source of happiness. His life got miserable after his brother left him. His mother seemed to not care that his father hit him and his other relatives did not know, not even Sirius. And Regulus had no intention of letting anyone know, not about his fathers abuse or the scars that covered his arms and thighs. Not Pandora. Not Sirius. Not anyone.

Regulus and Pandora sat there for a little while until, "oh! Oh! What time is it?", Pandora asked excitedly out of nowhere, "uh I don't know.. ah it's, seven p.m. why?", Regulus said, "I have a date with Xenophilius", Pandora said and winked at him, "see you later Reggie.", she said while standing up and walking in the direction of the slytherin common room. Regulus smiled and grabbed a muggle book out of his bag, he was not allowed to read that book at the black manor, his parents dispised everything that had to do with muggleborns.

Regulus got so focused on the story that he forgot what was around him but suddenly someone poked his arm, "Reggie.", a voice said, but there was no one, "what are you doing out? Filch is going around he will see you and then you're done. Come on!", Sirius head appeared in the mid air, his body was still missing. Regulus stood up looking at Sirius head and the space where his body was supposed to be. The next second Sirius head was gone and something put a kind of invisible blanket around him. Regulus, who was still staring at the walls before him, now looked at four guys who were all holding a blanket, who turned out to be an invisibility coat. The four guys were the Mauraders.

"You guys own a invisibility cloak.", Regulus exclaimed stunned, "well yeah.. I do.", James said and grinned, "That's... awesome!", Regulus mumbled, "I know right." "Can we start walking now?", Sirius asked slightly annoyed. The five of them started walking and did their best to not be seen under the cloak. They somehow managed to get past Filch's cat and to the slytherin common room. The Mauraders let go of Regulus after checking all the available places Filch could just randomly appear from, "Salazar", Regulus said to the portrait, then he turned around and said, "goodnight you guys.", and closed the portrait without waiting for the four older guys to answer.

"Rude!", Sirius exclaimed, while they started walking to the Griffendor common room, Peter grinned and said, "I think your brother is cool." "Heck yeah he is. He has my blood!", Sirius said a bit to loud, which made the cat infront of them jump. The boys exchanged a look and started running. If Filchs' cat knew there were students out of bed, Filch was about to be here any second. The boys arrived their common room just in time Regulus decided to get ready for bed. He had been tired the whole day. But when he laid in bed he was not tired at all. He just laid there tracing his scars, and thought. He thought about his "family" and friends,— he did have a few but he did not feel comfortable enough around them to tell them about all his life—, he thought about Pandora, and Lily, Severus and Barty. Those were his friends but if course there were the people he sat with in class or the Mauraders who seemed to not get enough of him. Or these second to fourth year girls, who kept asking him out, but they were just not his type.

Finally he ended up falling asleep thinking about the upcoming holidays and being happy he could sleep a little longer tomorrow, because it was a Saturday.

That night he had a nightmare. His brother came to the black manor to rescue him, at least that was what he shouted into Orions face. But as Regulus came down the stairs because he heard screaming and a loud noice, he saw his brother laying there on the floor. Without any sign of life. He walked up to him and started crying. When he faced his father to ask him why, he just saw a green light coming out of Orion's raised wand. The next thing he knew was that Regulus laid in his bed, not on the floor. He breathed heavy. He was full of sweat instead of tears. But the very most important thing, he was far away from his parents. The two people he disposed so much. They said they raised him, but they didn't his brother taught him so much. His parents only paid for the food their houseelf cooked. Kreecher was the one who brought him tea when he felt sick, who gave him bandages when he fell, who played a game with him when he felt bad. Regulus felt bad for the elf. He was there all alone, going mad with his parents.

Regulus took off his sweat soaked shirt and threw it on the floor next to his bed. Then he walked into the bathroom and washed his face. He sprayed some water on his body and looked up into his reflection. He did not quite like the way he looked. He had long black curles, which looked really bad. It was probably just the hair. Because his face was actually quite nice. Better than Malfoy's face anyways. He had a strong jawline and soft lips. His nose was neither too big nor too small. He figured he liked his face. It was just this hair. It grossed him out. His hair was going past his shoulders. Sirius had long hair too, but it suited him. But Regulus? No. He had to change it. He could not just always wear it up in a bun. He really grew tired of it that night. Thats why he decided to just.. chop it off. Right there, in the bathroom. After he had that nightmare. So he took the scissors. And chopped it.

When he was done there was very much hair on the floor, which was easy to erase with a simple spell, but it was still a shocking amount. When Regulus looked up, his hair was short. And he was happy with it. He looked good. His curles stayed. Which was good because he liked his curles. But now his hair was real short in the back and in the front it just reached his eyebrows.
Done with his hair Regulus decided to go back to sleep. He felt better now. The nightmare was nearly forgotten.
