"Does your mom not know how to pack or something?" Kahoni asked.
"Considering the fact that I've always packed for her, probably not, "I said.
Kahoni, Kyle, and I were in my mother's bedroom, packing all of her crap. I appreciated Kahoni helping even though he should have been packing for his trip to Europe.
"Does she really need all this stuff?" Kahoni asked.
"Probably not, "I said.
"Then why are we packing it?" he asked.
"Because it's on the list, "I said.
"And you have to pack everything on the list, "Kyle said.
"Danny I love you, but I don't understand your mom, "Kahoni said.
"No one does, "I said.
"This is going to take forever, "Kyle said.
"We could make it fun, "I said.
"How?" Kahoni asked.
"Well let's see, "I said, "how about we wad up her clothes and throw them into her suitcase, like basketball. Each one to make is two points."
"And if you can score from the other side of the room it's five points, "Kyle said.
"You two are going down, "Kahoni said.
We played this game until everything on the list was in her multiple suitcases. I sat on the suitcases while Kahoni zipped them shut.
"OK so let's see who won, "I said, "in first place with 120 points is....me! In second place with 95 points is Kyle Mahonny! And in last place with 80 points is Kahoni The Show Off Hale."
"Ha Ha, you're hilarious, "he said.
"Thank you, thank you, I'm here all week, "I said.
"Kyle!" my mother shouted, "dinner's ready, get down here!"
"I think your forgetting someone mom!" Kyle shouted.
"It's all right Kyle, "I said.
"No it's not, "he said.
"Fine, Danny!" she shouted.
"Thanks Kyle, "I said, then to Kahoni, "I'll walk you out."
We all ran downstairs and I savored the smell of a dinner already cooked, instead of me cooking it.
------------------------------------------------
The airport was as busy as always. People were running around, trying to find their gate or family and friends that they're visiting. Kyle and I struggled to carrying our mother's bags while Hallie followed and watched.
"Do you want to help?" I asked.
"Not really, "she said.
"Danny, hurry up!" my mother shouted.
I tried to move faster but her bags slowed me down. We finally got to security and Kyle and I put her bags down.
"I'm not going to miss any of you in the slightest, "she said.
"Right back at you, "I said in an undertone. Kyle smiled at me, but my mother didn't seem to have heard.
"If I'm not back in two months, I probably died, "she said.
"I didn't think the devil could die, "I said to Kyle.
My mother glared at Kyle and me, then hugged Hallie and walked away.
"You two should be nicer to mom, "Hallie said.
"Yeah sure, whatever, "I said.
"Want to know what I just realized?" Kyle said.
"What?" I asked.
"None of us can drive, "he said, "how are we supposed to get home?"
"It's time you learned the fine art of walking my brother, "I said.
------------------------------------------------
It took us an hour and a half to walk home from the airport. When we got home we all collapsed on the couch.
"Do you guys want to sit and watch TV and do nothing else?" I asked.
"Yes, "Kyle said. We turned on the TV; the news was on. "Boring, "Kyle said.
"Kyle, wait!" I shouted. They were giving a report on a plane crash. "Is that mom's plane?" I asked.
Kyle turned up the volume so we could hear the news reporter, "About thirty minutes ago a Spirit Airline plane crashed in the Atlantic Ocean 100 miles off the coast of Honolulu. So far no survivors have been found." Kyle turned the TV off.
"That was mom's plane, "Kyle said.
"But that means, "Hallie started.
"Mom's dead, "I said.----------------------------------------------------
Oh snap! I did not just do that! But yet I did mwhaha:) I hope you guys don't hate me too much, but you have to admit, no one likes her mom. I'm sorry it's so short but I couldn't think of how to make it longer. Also I am making a prequel but I need some ideas for titles, so far I have Before he Left. Lastly I just wanted to thank all of you for 1K reads!!!! I literally started screaming when I saw that! You have no idea how happy that made me, seriously it made my day. I hope you all have a wonderful day and thanks again for reading my book! I honestly didn't think anything I wrote could get that many views! I'll try to update soon.
