"What the fu-"

"Hey Jaemin-ah" His soft smile, his soft black hair, his soft features, it's really him

"J-Jeno? Is it really y-you?" Jaemin said, so quietly, yet Jeno heard him nonetheless.

"It's me nana, it's really me"

They were both engulfed by the warmth they both had missed so much, so fucking much, home, this was really home

Jaemin was crying in the others shoulder, just like how Jeno was doing.

"W-what are you d-doing here?" Jaemin hiccuped.

"I-I thought you had left permanently I- thought I'd n-never see you again"

"Didn't I tell you I'll always come back home to you?" Jeno broke their hug, cupping jaemins face and wiping the youngers tears.

Jaemin just cried harder hearing Jeno say that. It has been something the older always told him. The first time was When they were 8 years old and Jeno was going for the first time on vacation with his parents, he told Jaemin he'd come back running home to him. And he did.

He always did, he never broke the promise

"I missed you so much nana, there wasn't a second where I didn't think about you" Jeno confessed.

"W-why are y-you suddenly back though? Did s-something h-happen? What a-about you mother?" Jaemin put his head in jeno's neck again, hugging the other one more time.

"She and dad divorced. Dad finally found the guts to stand up for himself and me, so here we are. At home"

So they spend the night crying in each other's arms, both of their hearts finally at peace.

They talked about how Jaemin grew up to be the gentleman he is, how Jeno was able to become the businessman he always wanted, and how Jaemin reached his goal to study medicine.

They talked about many other topics, but it was getting late, so they had to part ways.

"S-so I'll see you at the party tomorrow?" Jaemin softly asked, pulling the hem of jeno's hoodie.

"Of course Nana" he then caressed the youngers cheek, and kissed his forehead after saying goodnight.

Both boys had the best sleep of their life that night, feeling happier than ever.
