1 year later.

It had been a year, and Jordan hadn't moved on. How could she? She never even got to talk to him again. You don't break up with someone by telling your brother to tell her brother to tell her, and then think that's going to sit well with someone. Oh no. Absolutely not.

At the end of the day Jordan knew that she may have no choice but to move on, but after a year of trying to process things, she knew she couldn't move on without getting the proper closure she longed for. Jordan had never actually been in love with someone until Dan. Despite what Jordan may have perceived as love in past relationships, she knew after experiencing how connected and invested she was in Dan, that this was a love like she'd never felt before.

Maybe Jordan's brother Chris was right, and maybe one day Jordan would meet someone new that she'd grow to love them thet same way she loved Dan, if not more. However, Jordan knew moving on wasn't possible for her until she heard from the man who had bewitched her heart. Jordan needed Dan to look her in the eyes and tell her he didn't want her anymore. If Dan was able to do that, then Jordan would know this was truly what he wanted.

Now, Jordan slipped on her lucky red shoes, grabbed her car keys, and headed to the place she knew she'd enact her plan. Jordan's plan to contact Dan involved Jordan finally reuniting with the other Camerino brother, Dino.

For the past year Dino had managed to avoid Jordan on every turn. Whether it be not responding to her text, blocking her phone number, not even responding to emails or the monthly letter she'd been sending him. Dino had made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with Jordan. Hopefully after today, Jordan wouldn't need to converse with Dino again, anyway.

Jordan had been pretending she was an FBI agent like her dad and brother, and had been trailing Dino for the past few weeks, to figure out if there was a pattern of where he went from week to week so she could pin-point where would be the best place to confront him. While yes, this was definitely approaching crazy stalker territory, Jordan had no other option if she wanted access to Dan.

Finally at the bar Dino owned, Jordan marched straight to the back that held a long hallway that led to a number of offices. Of course Jordan couldn't make it to the office she was certain Dino would be in right now, because there was a security guard diligently guarding the entrance. Jordan looked up at the well built security guard, noting that once again she still didn't feel all that short or intimidated regardless of this dude being twice her size. This was an aftershock of dating Dan, where no matter who Jordan ran into, no one seemed that intimidating anymore.

"Excuse me. I need to speak with Dino," Jordan said to the security guard, with an air of confidence.

The security guard looked down at Jordan dressed in dark wash jeans, a black crop-top, and of course her lucky red shoes. Jordan did not look like the type of customer this bar was used to. Nor did she look like someone who'd be on a first name bases with the bar's boss.

"Mr. Camerino has no meetings scheduled right now."

"Perfect, because I need to meet with him."

"Look Miss, you look like a nice chick, and I'm sure Mr. Camerino and you had a good time together, but-"

"Stop! Nope! None of that. I'm here on family business. Just tell him this is a life or death situation."

The security guards eyes widened, but he finally asked for her name, and then agreed to see if Mr. Camerino, AKA Dino, would meet with her. Jordan, wanting to be sure that she'd avoid Dino throwing her out, decided not to give her name. Instead she said her name was Mary Camerino, which was Dino and Dan's mother's name.
