Waiting for Dan to reply once Jordan had announced it was her on the other end, felt like a lifetime to Jordan. Dan was completely silent once Jordan said it was her. Was Dan mad Jordan called? Was he about to hang up on her?
"Jordan? Like Jordan Jordan?"
"Like Jordan, who used the screen name Jordan291."
"Wow. Oh my gosh, it's great to hear from you. I-is everything okay?"
"I can't believe you answered!" Jordan blurted out, having looser lips than she normally did thanks to the bottle of wine she was still drinking.
"I. Wow. Of course I answered. I mean, I would have answered right away if I knew it was you. I'm sorry I missed your first call. I didn't have your number in this new phone. Uh, and speaking of which, how'd you get this number?"
"Oh no! Don't be mad I stole your number!"
A smile spread across Dan's face, as he noticed Jordan seemed more... energetic or something. "I'm not mad you have this number. Who'd you steal this from?"
"Oh no! Oh my gosh! This is crazy! Shhh! Don't tell Dino."
"Ha, okay I won't. Um, Jordan, you sound... Are you alright?"
"Oh no! Yeah, I'm so good now. But I have been drinking. It's just wine. But I'm a total lightweight. But I'm at home all alone so no big deal here!"
Oh. M. G. Did Jordan drunk call Dan? Dan had never actually seen Jordan drunk. A little tipsy yes, but she sounded pretty loose right now.
"Man I'm sad I'm not drunk too." Dan joked.
"Dan. I had to. I had to drink because I was so nervous to try and call you."
"You don't need to be nervous. Especially over the phone."
"You're so right!" Jordan agreed before she got down to business. "C-can I ask something of you?"
"Of course, ask away."
"I want to see you."
For a moment Dan let her statement hang in the air, questioning if he was actually dreaming or not.
"Um, in-person?" Dan clarified.
"Please Dan? I need to."
"Sure. I-I mean if you're comfortable with it. I'm almost an hour out from the city I'm pretty sure. But I can text you the address."
"Oh my gosh! YES!!!! Thank you for agreeing. When are you free next?"
Chucking, Dan replied, "Any day Jordan. Not a lot of conflicts in this neck of the woods."
"Okay. Well tomorrow is Sunday... Is it too much if I come over tomorrow afternoon?"
"No, of course that works for me."
"Yes! I can't wait to see you!"
"Well... fair warning, I'm definitely bigger than when you last saw me."
"Right..."
"But if you're okay with that I'd love to see you. But I totally get it, if not. No worries!"
"Yeah... zero worries from me too. I guess text me the address and I'll see you at sayyy 1:00?"
And with that, plans were set into motion. Dan texted her a series of directions of how to get through the apparent security that surrounded his new house, and Jordan agreed to meet Dan tomorrow.

After a 45 minute drive, and three security checkpoints, Jordan finally made it to the end of a paved path that led from the security checkpoints all the way toward the ocean shore. Blocking Jordan's view from what she assumed would be the ocean was the biggest "house" Jordan had ever seen. This house was as tall as a skyscraper, but was shaped like a subourbon house. It was as if you took a house you'd find in a suburb and zoomed in on it to make it huge. Wow. Looking at the size of the house triggered Jordan's nervous butterflies to consume her once again.
