My room was silent.

I left my balcony door open, the sheer white curtains gently moving from the wind.

I was reading a book on my bed, the only light was my lamp and the stars outside.

The balcony door from next door opened.

"No no no listen, I want to be apart of it. I won't cause trouble I swear"

My book was now placed down in my bed, the voice of Axe had caught my attention.

I moved closer to the balcony door but stayed behind the wall, listening for his next words.

"Then I'll just help set up or just invite me"

"Come on, I know you want me there Scarlet"

Scarlet? My scarlet?

"Thanks"

I popped my head out the door, a questioning eyebrow at the boy. I laughed as he jumped back from shock.

"Invite you where?" I questioned him, curious.

"Why are you listening to my conversation?"

"Why are you so loud?"

He went back inside avoiding my questions and shouting the balcony door behind him.

I carried on shouting to him even though he was gone now.

"My scarlet!?"

"How's the baby!?"

"You know I won't leave it be!"

He shit back out the door, an angry face.

"Shut up Bell"

I rolled my eyes, going back inside, slamming the balcony door and going back to reading my book.

I didn't speak a word in the car to school but Axe sure did, he didn't shut up.

"Did you know mummy is a stupid person?"
"Mummy hates me did you know that?"
"Isn't she cruel?"

The baby didn't speak back. It's not real.

"Stop being ridiculous" I snatched the baby from him and I kept the baby for the full day at school.

It was Thursday meaning I had no lessons with Axe today. It was a lucky and great day of the week.

The bell for lunch rang, I left my lesson with the baby in my hands. I went to my locker for my packed lunch.

"Sweetheart, come back"

I turn to see Axe in the corridor. He's the only one who says sweetheart and calls me it.

I wait for him at my locker.

"When can I have Gabe?"

"Whenever you want, I'm not a fan of carrying it around" I told him, passing him the bag of flour and opening my locker.

"It has a name you know"

I roll my eyes, putting in my backpack and pulling out my lunch.

"It's just a project for class, stop taking it so seriously"

He ignored me completely and keeps talking about the flour.

"I think we should take him out somewhere tonight, he's probably upset about the house switching"
