Arranged Trouble

Class was boring but after enough time passed it was lunch. Luckily I hadn't seen Adriel today, maybe he wasn't in on purpose?

I found our usual spot, Scarlett and Nico were already sat down. I knew they had something going on, I was just waiting to be told.

It was obvious, they talked before the baby project but I think this pulled them together. They're literally sitting next to each other instead of across from each other.

"Hey. The queue for pasta was long, as per usual"

They hadn't ordered pasta but a packed lunch instead. Scarlett tinker her fingers around her lunch box and laughed.

"We thought these were a quicker way to eat, you know"

I rolled my eyes and moved the flour to the empty seat on the bench beside me.

"Hey babe" I turned around. Of course, it was Axe.

"Babe?" I questioned his new nickname for me.

I could hear Scarlett and Nico doing the 'oooo' as I watched Axel.

He nodded and put his food on the table, he sat down, moving the flour to his lap.

"Queue was long" he sighed and picked up his fork and began eating without a thought about it.

"Yep"

That's when I noticed his hands when he ate. They were covered in a slight bit of red. Not pen red. Blood?

"Axe?"

He looked up at me, his mouth was full but instead of asking what I wanted he just smiled and stuffed his mouth some more.

I decide to eat and ask him later, I don't want to watch him eat, it's gross.

When lunch was over Axe started to walk off first, no words said.

"Axe!" His head spun around at my voice, a smile started to come to him when he saw me.

He waited in the emptying lunch hall for me to catch up to him.

"What's up, baby?"

I rolled my eyes and looked him up and down, examining his face. His eyes brows raised at what I was staring at.

"Seriously, what's up?"

I looked back down at his hands. "What happened?"

"With what?"

"Well, your hands they're" I stopped myself unsure if it really was blood or not, maybe I was just making it all up in my head.

When I looked back up to his face he wasn't smiling but frowning, his eyebrows joined together.

"Adriel"

We were met with silence, I wasn't sure what to say and I don't think he did either.

After a minute, we realised we didn't need to speak. Axe took my hand, took me out of the empty cafeteria and even walked me to lesson.

Unluckily Adriel was in my lesson too. I wonder what he did this time, to get Axe to lunch him. Again.
