Tiffany sat on the edge of a plush tan sofa. She was exhausted from the ten hour drive from Denver and the fiasco of the previous 48 hours. She didn't want to get too comfortable. She would likely fall asleep despite having enough coffee in her to energize an entire dance troupe. How had her life come to this?
Well, let's see. Your jerk of a boyfriend dumped you for not putting out, and you hooked up with a random stranger. Thanks to her mother's revolving door of boyfriends and husbands, she was a commitment-phobe. Sure she dated every now and then to keep her mother and friends off of her back.
It rarely ever lasted more than three dates. When she didn't put out on the third date, she usually didn't get a fourth. Until she met Drake. He stuck around for six months. He didn't put pressure on her. He really thought he might be the one to cure her of her aversion to the idea of marriage and family.
She was trying to get the courage to sleep with him, when he walked out on her. Well, technically she was the one who walked out. They had gone out to dinner one night. He was being especially attentive and listening to her tell about her day throughout the meal.
After dinner, he ordered molten lava cake to split. He insisted that she do the honors of cutting into it. She took her fork and cut into the moist cake as chocolate oozed out of the center. Then, her fork hit something hard inside. She pulled it out on the tip of her fork and found that it was a ring dripping with melted chocolate.
She dropped the fork on the plate. The clatter of the fork hitting the plate caught the attention of everyone in the subdued room. All of the whispers and murmurs abruptly stopped. Drake assumed her look of shock was a good thing.
He got down on one knee as awes came from the other patrons. She immediately began shaking her head. She forcefully pushed back and stood, her chair toppling over, and ran out of the restaurant like hellhounds were nipping at her heels.
The next day, she tried to call and apologize, but he wouldn't return her calls or texts, so she left well enough alone. She was better off without him. What kind of idiot puts a diamond ring in chocolate? What was his plan? Lick it off before he placed it on her finger? Despite the lunacy of the situation, she was tired of being alone.
It was then that she decided to get over this crap once and for all. She was not her mother. She could have a healthy relationship with a man. That night at work she told her best friend, Anna, about what happened while Anna was getting ready to go on stage. Her friend informed her that she was to pick up a handsome man that very night. She thought if Tiffany would lose her virginity, she would see what she had been missing.
Anna's plan was to scope out the crowd while she danced, to try to find someone who would be worthy of Tiffany's "purity." She tended to be a little overdramatic. After her set, Tiffany met her in the dressing room and handed her a red silk robe to cover her perky bare C cup breasts and the tiny scrap of silk that remained between her legs. After tying her robe shut and sitting at her dressing station, she was grinning ear to ear as she took off her blonde bombshell wig and released her jet black wavy locks from her wig cap.
"The cowboy at table 7! He's been watching you. He didn't look once at any of the dancers on stage. He's the one!"
"I don't know about this. It seems like something my mother would do."
The longtime friends' eyes met in the mirror. "Honey, you are nothing like that no-good mother of yours. You can do this. You need to do this. Go get him!"
She was right. Tiffany needed to get past this. She was tired of being alone. She knew exactly who Anna was talking about. The second she saw him walk through the door, her breath caught, and she felt the tug of desire under her leather mini skirt. He was wearing one of those green plaid cowboy shirts and a black Stetson. His snug jeans enveloped an ass that made her instantly wet.
Deciding that there was no time like the present, she straightened and headed out front. Just as Anna said, as soon as she stepped out of the employee door, his eyes were on her. She kept eye contact as she made her way through the tables.
"Can I get you gentlemen anything else?" she asked, with eyes only for the cowboy.
His buddy in the suit responded, "Pretty lady, we would like another round of whiskey."
"I think I'm good for tonight," Cowboy drawled, dragging his eyes from hers to his buddy. "I never drink this much, and I've got a long drive back home to Oklahoma tomorrow."
"Now, now. One more ain't gonna hurt you. You've just landed yourself the best semen in the state of Colorado." His buddy clapped him on the back.
Tiffany just stood gaping at the two men. Cowboy looked up at her and blushed. "It's not what you think. Bull semen. For my heifers."
"I'm not here to judge." She winked at him.
"You know what? I think one more round should do it," he said, ducking his head, trying to hide his embarrassment.
Tiffany sauntered up to the bar giving her hips a little more swing. Through her long dark lashes, she glanced back over her shoulder. Sure enough those brown eyes were on her, despite Carly being topless on the pole. No red blooded male could resist a topless Carly. Triple Ds tended to catch the attention of everyone in the room. Except for her cowboy.
Said cowboy walked into the room with a tray of sweet tea, orange juice, and sausage biscuits. She immediately blushed as if he knew where her thoughts had gone while he was in the kitchen. After setting the tray on the coffee table, he took a seat beside her on the couch.
"Food first. Then, we will discuss what to do."
She couldn't argue with that and neither could her stomach. She poured herself a glass of orange juice and grabbed a biscuit. One bite of the warm, soft flaky biscuit and her eyes closed in ecstasy as a moan escaped.
