Annie had finally found her crew, people who truly truly understood her, she found her place. Both her and Ty were junior bound
She'd been trying not to talk or think about him and Jackson. Earlier, in the summer, Jackson and she were dating, he decided to go out of state for the rest of high school
*Last Week Of Summer*
"Annie, we need to talk," Jackson said pulling Annie's attention away from her phone
"Hmm? what's going on?" Annie replied, Jackson was just looking at her refusing to answer.
"Jackson...?" Annie said worriedly
"Annie I'm going to Seattle for the rest of high school" Jackson finally said
"Jackson no..." Annie said tearing up "So this means we have to-" Annie couldn't bring herself to say the words
"Yes...." Jackson confirmed their breakup.
"I-" Annie stood up from their table, Jackson did as well, She wrapped her hands around his neck and kissed him hard and full of sadness.
Tears streaming down her face, she said "You will be my favourite first love" She smiled and Jackson chuckled and said "Annie Sullivan, you've taught me more about myself than I knew I had and for that, I am forever grateful" Jackson started tearing up now too.
Annie picked up her phone and slung her bag on her shoulder. She looked at him one last time and walked out of their coffee shop, turning back at the door, smiling one last time at Jackson, tears all over her face, before she turned around and left.
"I LOVE YOU" Jackson yelled hoping she could hear him.
*First day of Junior Year*
Annie was getting ready in her room. She decided to wear a white pleated skirt, a navy blue halter top and a pair of black, heeled lace-up boots. She tied a black and white plaid oversized shirt around her waist and left her natural beachy waves down.
She was deciding between earrings when she got a notification from Ty. She suddenly was hit by a wave of longing but brushed it away as quickly as it arrived. She missed him but....nevermind
She choose the small gold hoops and paired them with a charm bracelet Lily got her for her birthday last year. She grabbed her backpack and camera bag before heading downstairs
She kissed her mom and dad goodbye before jumping into her friend Sierra's car. Sierra and she were just gossiping and talking about how excited they were for junior year. Before they knew it, they'd reached Serenity High School. Annie stepped out of the car and Sierra went to park it. The two of them should have some classes together and lunch so they'd see each other soon. Annie made her way to the reception to get her schedule. She was on her phone and waiting when she saw CeCe and her posse join the line, directly behind her.
Annie finally reached the front of the line and got her schedule, first-class: Homeroom.
JUNIOR YEAR HERE I COME, she thinks to herself making her way to room 209.
