My whole life has changed, when you came in.

WARNING: BLOOD AND TRAUMA

┌─────────── ───────────┐

A YOUNG AURELIA ran down the stepped of her house, excited for her parents to come back home.

She had already called them on her grandfather's phone earlier that day, begging for them to hurry back.

They promised her that they would rush home so they could see their little girl.

She held on to her stuffed bear called Woody, she skipped as she approached the door.

Her smile dropped when the door swung open, revealing her parents.

Blood dripped down their bodies, leaving a huge puddle on the floor.

Scratches were engraved into their faces.

Glass scattered around their flesh, tearing and ripping it more open, exposing the bones that were trying to escape.

Their clothes were dishevelled, the stench of death flowed from the fabrics, travelling to little Aurelia's nose, forcing her to inhale it.

She choked back a sob, letting go of her stuffed bear, she felt like she couldn't move.

She wanted to hug them, she wanted them to hug her and tell her everything was okay.

Her mom and dad.

Her parents.

But they were not her parents.

The little girl's eyes watered and her bottom lip trembled as they stood looking down at her, wearing menacing grins.

"This is your fault Rory." her father's patronising voice spoke.

"What?" she croaked out as she remained stagnant.

"You killed us." her mother spat, "we're dead because of you."

"Now it's your turn to die."

Her mother's bloodied hand gripped her arm, pulling her outside.

The little girl let out a piercing scream.

Rory gasped when she woke up, her body trembled in fear, she felt the dried tearstains on her face.

Woody whimpered at her state, knowing his best friend was upset, he curled up against her, hoping she would hold him.

She scooped him up, "I'm okay, I'm okay," she whispered into his fur, "I'm okay," she repeated, almost like a prayer. "don't worry "Woody."

His cries slowly stopped, he let out a yawn, fluttering his eyes shut and collapsing onto her warm body.

"You're okay," she muffled her cries into her hand, "you're going to be okay."

THE PARK

Rory only told me about her nightmares of her parents when I woke up to her crying and screaming in her sleep when she was at my house.
