Mckay and Rory had been friends since they were 4 years old.

Well since she was 4 and he was 6.

Their parents went to high school together so it was only natural that their children got along as well.

Rory noticed how shy Mckay was.

She find ways to bring him out of his shell and physical activity was one of them.

They always bonded over football even though she didn't understand it, she always supported him.

She went to his practices and games, along with his dad.

When the two started dating, Nate threatened Mckay to stay away from Rory, the idea of her being best friends with a boy made his blood boil.

Like he couldn't handle the thought of her caring for another boy the same way she cared for him.

Mckay was too much of a coward to put up a fight, so he let Rory slip through his fingers and land straight into Nate's.

Mckay was happy when he heard that Rory broke up with Nate, but he was ecstatic when he heard that she beat the shit out of him for cheating.

But the news was bittersweet because they weren't friends anymore and he knew that she had deep abandonment issues due to the death of her parents and what did he do...he abandoned her.
