Nate jacobs was in love. He didn't know how it happened. He didn't know why it happened. But he could just feel it. And it felt so fucking good. But it was complicated.

What was it about Cassie Howard that allowed Nate to fully surrender himself? With Maddy, it was always a game. With Rory, it was a fucking fantasy.

Cassie was the opposite. He knew he wasn't perfect. That he had some issues. But maybe the reason he had those issues is that Maddy brought out the worst in him. And maybe if he met Cassie when he was a sophomore instead of Maddy... she would've brought out the best in him.

I mean he already fucked Cassie back in freshman year, back when he thought he and Rory were on a break. They never told anyone about it.

I could've sworn that I saw them one time but maybe I was just fucking high.

Cassie was always uncomfortable around Rory because of the guilt she carried. She hoped if Rory ever found out about it she would spare her since they had known each other since they were kids.

But the scary thing about Rory was her words cut deeper and felt more severe than the punches she could throw.

Shit even Nate was more scared of Rory finding out than Maddy, maybe it was because he knew she was smarter or maybe it was because he knew she would help Maddy come up with some scheme to hunt him down and kill him.

Nate swore he loved them for different reasons, Rory for her selflessness, Maddy for her affection and Cassie's faux innocence.

He hoped he wouldn't get caught but there was something worse than a humiliated man...

HOWARD RESIDENCE:

When Maddy told Rory that she had a job, Rory collapsed on the floor and laughed for an hour.

She couldn't imagine Maddy doing any type of labour, even if it was for money, but when she was told that it was babysitting she thought it made sense, Rory could easily imagine her best friend being a great mother.

She occasionally came over and looked after little Theo, the kid was fucking cute.

When Rory saw the boy she imagined her future with Fez. she was fucking scared to get back with him, scared that he would hurt her again.

She kept ignoring his dm's and blocked him again, before when he started sending voice notes, she almost threw her phone across the room when he heard his deep voice.

He wanted her to fold, he needed her to do it but she couldn't, not just yet.

The three girls floated in Cassie's hot tub.
