dear chung yuna,

you're probably confused now that i told you that you were my high school crush lol.

to put it simple, bomi and i were only friends.

nothing more.

everyone made a deal about since bomi was always hanging around me back then, and she did say that she liked me. i was a bit uncomfortable with the situation since i couldn't return her feelings, but i had to pretend that i wasn't bothered by it because she was my friend and i didn't want to hurt her.

bomi did confess to me a few times, but i rejected her every time.

also, i did go to the dance with her; however, i told her that we would only go as friends.

and eventually, she got tired of the one-sided love and moved on with someone new, who you already know.

mentioning mingi, i had always made eye contact with him whenever the both of you passed by bomi's classroom. i didn't know that he liked bomi, but i did know that mingi had a hutch that i had feelings for you. he wasn't lying when he told you that he caught my stare on you because i would always glance out of the classroom to see if you were passing by or not ahahaha.

i spent my time admiring you from afar, just like how you admired me from afar.

and i'd had always wanted to be around you, but with the commotion that followed me...

i didn't want you to get dragged into it.

i knew that i didn't want the same thing to happen to you. i didn't want you to be uncomfortable spending time with me since i didn't know if you liked me or not.

and so, whenever i was near you, i pretended that there were no feelings involved as i interacted with you because i didn't want to be heartbroken at the end if i ever found out that you never liked me: like the time when we were grouped together for that science project, and the time when i mustered the courage to come up to you at the dance and talk to you for a bit.

but then, it wasn't for long until i needed to take my first step.
