Quick Authors note: this is an AU where Milo already asked Amanda out on a date, but she declined, because she was afraid of Murphy's law, they are still friends though.
Milo's Point of View
"Today's gonna be great" I say as I sit up in my bed. I say this every morning. But I don't know if it's true or not, because who knows what Murphy's law has in store for me today. I grabbed my backpack and start packing things I think I would need. Then I run out the door and walk to the bus stop.
I stand their and talk to Melissa when Y/N pops up out of nowhere. "Oh! Hey N/N!" They seemed happy when I said the nickname they told me to use yesterday. "N/N huh? That new?" Said a curious Melissa. "Yeah thats my new nickname! Only people close to me can use it." Y/N said with a smile.
My face goes a bit red when I hear that "special people" can use it. Melissa looks at me with a smirk, I can tell she knows I like Y/N. I playfully smack her arm. Y/N looks at me and then looked at Melissa and said to her "You can use my Nickname too!" They chuckle. 'golly their laugh is adorable-' I shake my head to knock out The thoughts from my brain. "You okay Milo?" Y/N said as they tilted their head. "Y-yup! I'm good" I replied with a bit of sweat running down my face. The bus soon arrived.
Y/N's Point of View
Gosh am I really falling for him? I question to myself. Nah, it's just thoughts. Besides, he wouldn't like me back anyways, I say in my mind as I walk into class. It arrived to the end of the day but it really felt like Night. Today was too long of a day. I met up with Milo, Melissa and Zack to start walking home, dodging some things on our way as well. We were almost to the neighborhood when we had to cross the road. We each crossed one at a time. It was Milo's turn to cross when a huge truck was racing down the street! "MILO!! WATCH OUT!!!" I scream in horror.. but I was too late.
Milo was ran over as he lay unconscious on the street.
