No, it couldn't be. That thing only existed in legends.

Aileana poked his shoulder. "Le?" she asked again, concern lacing her voice.

Legalist whirled around to face her. "Quickly," he demanded. "Where did Musica put The Handbook for Handling Occasions of Sacrilegious Anomalies?"

It took only one second for Aileana to understand what he meant, and her graceful face darkened. "In the belltower."

Immediately Legalist stood up and half-dragged Aileana by the hand across the estate. "We have no time to waste," he huffed urgently, eyes fiercely concentrated on his prize. "The others must've been captured already as well. No wonder it's been so quiet for the past hours."

It took a few minutes of utterly trashing the dusty belltower chamber before they pulled up the dusty floorboards and unearthed a huge, leather-bound, extra-dusty book. The Handbook for Handling Occasions of Sacrilegious Anomalies by Kinglius Kachikawawa was printed finely on its cover.

The old cover crinkled delicately. Aileana, ever the observant and well-read, examined it closely. "It's in the medieval script," she said. "This might take a while to figure out."

"But you know how to do it, right?" Legalist asked.

"Of course I do," Aileana said.

Lord Legalist grinned and shared a high-five with her. "Let's crack it open, then," he declared.

After a few minutes, she had finally discovered the secret in the obscure script. This menace which they now faced was a type of shapeshifting darkness born from the Sacrilegious Emperor, capable of encapsulating and emulating the powers of any form it copied. It had no official name in the handbook, being such a rare occurrence, it seemed almost like a fairytale. They had to tread very carefully, for they could not rush anything in fear for the safety of their friends. This dark entity's power was truly beyond knowledge, and all preparations were necessary. They needed to figure out every possible remedy listed in the book.
