So, of course, Y/n has known the Brothers and Splinter for quite some time. There was really no point in meeting Splinter or introducing herself to the family because she already knows each one. But she has a different relationship with each mutant in the lair.

What she could do was have a little one on one with each mutant to get to know them a little better since she hasn't been down here in the sewers for a while.

For a good example, Splinter wanted to give Y/n the biggest hug whenever she came to visit. Besides April, Y/n was becoming a daughter figure to the rat making him feel like he can be less demanding and not so hovering. And she listened way better than his teenage sons... He loved catching up with her while they had cups of tea, spoke of their many adventures as a human and a rat, and enjoyed their company.

Then, Raphael was someone Y/n enjoyed ranting to... sometimes. The reason Raph is a second choice to Y/n is that he is a good listener and he'll have some realistic advice, but she won't always take it to heart because he is the bigger and more aggressive brother out of the four.

Donatello is more of a therapist and someone who can relate to certain things. Y/n valued her and Donnie's conversation because he is incredibly smart, he knows what he is talking about a majority of the time, and he gives advice that can actually be used. He even helped her out with some serious situations in the past and she couldn't thank Don enough.

As for Michelangelo...what a sweetheart. Bless his soul. There are times when Y/n did use his ideas and did end up thanking him for his help. He may be the childish type, but he can give some words of wisdom which surprised Y/n.

And finally, Leonardo is the one Y/n spent time with the most. In her opinion, she was confused about Leo-- in a good way. She doesn't know if she should call him her best friend or a brother-like friend...

The intense eye contact he made with her, whether it's at April's apartment, in the lair, or stargazing on the rooftops, gave Y/n some funny butterflies in the pit of her stomach. Perhaps it's just a minor phase that will pass and she won't have to worry about it again.

But the conversations they shared were the oddest ones. The oddest conversations are the best ones, though and most will agree with that. Either one of them would rant, the other will listen, vice versa... They'd goof off and create a bunch of noise as a leader and a human girl.

There are moments when Y/n would have this questionnaire game. They'd ask these hilarious or serious questions just to make their lives a little more interesting.

Right now, Y/n is thankful to call Leo someone special in her life and she doesn't ever want to take him or his wonderful, awesome, crazy family for granted. They are too precious to her. Too precious to abandon, to say goodbye to, and to be ignored.

Raph is special, so are Donnie, Mikey, and Splinter. Being a part of this family full of mutants with different personalities made Y/n's life even more special, sweeter, and a little crazier.

She didn't choose this life, but she does want to keep it forever. That is a for sure decision.
