Sienna huffed, tapping her white nails against her tanned face, her gaze flickering out the window as she looked down on the beautiful city of Amsterdam. It was mid October - the summer, of course in the Netherlands being pretty much non existent, had long gone and had left the capital in a chilly state, the clouds hanging low and grey but the trees adding a splash of colour with their autumnal orange ombré leaves.
"Miss Summers have you listened to a word I've just said?" The girls teacher, specifically in her theatre theory class, spoke with a sigh, struggling to engage the group of young adults today. It was no fault of her own, but the full days, the cold weather, the class would all rather be in bed.
"Hmm? Oh, yeah of course," Sienna turned her head from the window to face the elder lady. Mrs Turner was only around forty, young looking with auburn hair falling to her shoulders and faint lines encasing her paler skin. She, like Sienna, styled an English accent, unlike the majority of the class. As she rolled her grey eyes and turned back to her board, Sienna caught eyes with Bella from the other side of the class, both of them trying to hold on their laughter. They were the kind of friends that only needed to be in an awkward situation to struggle to keep a straight face.
"What's so funny?" Georgia sniggered from Sienna side, but this was enough to set her off as she burst out laughing, Bella soon following.
"Right, girls, Sienna and Bella, out. Now." Mrs Turner sternly pointed at the doorway.
"Sorry miss, I really am," Bella chuckled, seriously trying to apologise. But it wasn't enough, the two girls headed for the door. To be honest, it wasn't a rare site for them both to be kicked out of a lesson for laughing. All the teachers loved them, and they loved everyone, but all it took was a bad day for them to be incredibly irritating. Georgia was an angel, all the teachers favourites - naturally smart, always willing to learn, but Bella and Sienna saw a very different side to her outside of the classes, the devil side to the angel."What we doing tonight then?" Georgia asked, the three of them finally heading out of the corridors at the end of the day and leaving the school building, heading directly over the road to their block of apartments. It was drizzly and miserable, and truly Sienna just wanted to stay in for the night. But it was the first day of the all famous 'Amsterdam Dance Event' week, meaning the whole town was surrounded by parties, DJ's and so much more fun. Even to the cold, tired girl, it seemed appealing.
"I heard Julian Jordan's doing a set down the road, we could go to that?" Bella shrugged. Sienna and Georgia agreed, although secretly Sienna didn't know who this was.
"Alright sorted, it starts at nine so I'm going to go and get ready and get some food, then predrinks at mine?" The blue eyes brunette continued, the girls all agreeing. It was only six o clock now so they had plenty of time.As they all ended up on their floor, very high up the fancy building, they headed off to their different door ways. Sienna loved her apartment. As she walked in, she was welcome by the fresh, clean smell of linen that she loved. The landing way was paved with wooden flooring, a room on the left which was her bedroom, a large room with a cream fluffy rug on the floor, a king size white bed in the middle of the room with sage and cream flowers on her bedding, a sage fleece throw over the bed that was already made. She had pretty plants dotted around her room, her white dressing table near with another small plant on and some cute candles. Across the hall, was her bathroom. It was big, but fairly neutral. All beige and cream with, of course, some more plants. Reaching the end of the hallway, she reached the living room, which was adjoined with the kitchen. The whole back wall was a window looking out over the city, a dark grey corner sofa against it and a coffee table on the rug in the middle of the room. It wasn't anything special, but it was Sienna's home for the time she was at college. And she treasured it. Checking her phone, she realised it was nearing half six, and knowing her friends, they would have been here within the next half an hour. So she began getting ready for the night in town.
