2. An Alien Teaches Us Geography

[Sahana] Back on Earth, whenever I'd try talking to someone new, my brain would freeze up, and I'd babble some nonsense. If I hadn't already ran away and hidden behind a bush, that is. 

Talking to Annette doesn't feel forced. It's like talking to Nynesha and my parents: natural.  While we waited for Zephyr, the two of us chatted about everything from favorite colors (she likes orange) to annoying elevator music. 

We both have the same taste in music- we sang 'Alone, Pt. 2' by Alan Walker together. She has a beautiful voice. Annette's tough for her age; and really, really smart.

Kairi seems to accept that she can't get rid of us- she doesn't act like the three of us are something gross she found on the back of her shoe anymore. In other words, she's warming up to us!

 After an hour elapses, we stand together when Zephyr enters the room, and announce our decision. It might have just been my imagination, but I think I saw a hint of a proud smile playing on his otherwise somber face.

He told us we could shower and get dressed. "And don't worry about clothing, we've got it covered!"

So, the four of us were given a huge private suite in the Cruiser- there were four bathrooms, and four beds, each with its own personal storage space by the bed- like this place was designed just for us.

The beds were separated by little retractable screens (a little tag on the handle said, sponsored by Atlantis Co.), so we could have some privacy. The bathrooms had marble everywhere, expensive fixtures, and a luxurious bath-tub. I turned on the water and tied my hair up, so it wouldn't get wet.

I locked the door and noticed a message engraved below the handle- 'sponsored by Atlantis Co.'

On second thought, I let my hair down and decided to wash my hair, too. Next to the bathtub, I saw an array of bubble baths, all exclusively produced for the Star Kronos Cruiser by Atlantis Co.

I'm assuming this Atlantis Co. is very common round here, because as I looked around, I noticed that the sink, the bathmat, even the toothbrushes were from Atlantis Co.

I chose some rose scented bubbles and poured some into the lukewarm water, stepped in, and let the scented bubbles calm me.

Once I was done, there was a fluffy bathrobe waiting for me on a hook beside the door. I put it on, wrapped my hair in a towel and stepped out into the suite- it looks like I'm the first one out.

I made my way to my bed- I chose the one in the far corner. I drew my screens so that I could change, and found a set of clothes waiting for me on my dresser.

I was delighted- an over-sized pastel tie-dye hoodie and short, light denim shorts with frayed ends awaited me. 

I slipped on some vibrant sneakers, which I found beside the bed. I braided my hair into a waterfall braid on one side- I love how my long hair flows down my shoulders.

 I clipped back my hair on the other side of my middle part with baby pink clips. I also put on a colorful charm necklace, which I found in the drawer beside my bed. It has only one charm on it: a planet studded with turquoises, amethysts, and...amber? The planet could only be Kronos.

I drew aside my screen, and the first thing I saw was my sister, reclining on a cozy armchair near the TV.

She was wearing a short-sleeved lilac cropped top, which was made of nylon, over black track pants. She had on some matching lilac running shoes, and her hair was in a crown-braided ponytail. Nynesha was wearing a black fitness tracker around her wrist.
