*I like a challenge I said...hurt him a little I say...it'll be fine...hahahah I know what I'm doing
-------------+++--------+----+-+------++++++---------++Monty stood in his service lift, hand tight against his chest as he tried to get his breathing under control. The gator began to regret touching the bear, Freddy already had anger issues, and Monty preferred not to worsen them. The gator sighed, clearing his head of the thought as he shuffled into his green room and leaned against the wall.
"Why did he fix me?" The gator pondered aloud; the thought itself confused him immensely. Freddy hadn't shown anyone an ounce of care since Bonnie...left, silent cruelty overtaking his heart.
"The real question should be how'd ya get broken, lizard man?"
Monty let out a shrill yelp, head snapping towards the voice and noticing a brown-haired boy flopped onto his couch, a game in hand, as he glanced at the reptile boredly.
"H-how did ya get in here, kid?" Monty sputtered, forcing his valves to slow as he made his way over to the child.
"Hmmm?" The boy raised a brow, focus still on his device as he replied, "Snuck in with that rich brat's party earlier, didn't feel like leaving, so I broke into your room."
Monty sighed, pinching his brow, "Kiddo, the party left hours ago. Ya need to leave, sides I'm sure your parents are worried bout ya."
The boy scoffed, tapping away a moment longer before rising, placing the game on the table nearby, "So? I want to stay here, sides I don't have parents. Haven't for years."
The gator blinked, not sure what to do, "Okay, how about a grandparent, sibling? Somebody who can come pick ya up?"
The child stood with a stretch, "Nah... I'm on my own. Stay in random places for a while before moving on, though I'm thinking about staying here a longer...maybe permanently."
"Permanently? Kid, this place isn't suitable for permanent residence, ya gotta leave."
The child crossed his arms, shooting the gator an annoyed frown, "Gregory, my name is Gregory, so stop calling me kid; I'm not a kid; my intellect is greater than most adults. And I'll stay long as I want; my Peepaw said if I ever ended up in one of his business, I could stay." The child ended with a humph, sticking his tongue out in defiance.
Monty chuckled, "PeePaw, odd name...but people will look for ya eventually."
Gregory sighed, "Yea, I miss him; he taught me lots about building robots, you know. And I'm not worried; I can remain undetected for a long, long time.
Monty's shoulders slumped; this conversation was going nowhere, "Fine, ah' see ah' ain't gonna win this argument. But did ya have to invade my room? Why not Freddy's or Chica's?"
The boy faltered, frown gracing his features, "Because I don't trust them."
"But ya trust me? Why?" The reptile's tail flicked, tapping the ground as he observed the child.
"B-because, " Gregory hesitated, "Their smiles are fake, I know you guys are machines, but PeePaw taught me lots, including how special you animatronics are. Out of all four, you were the only one who didn't give off a creepy vibe...am I wrong?"
Monty blinked, a shiver coursing through his wires, "N-no...not really, ah' guess they're a little more...unstable once the guests have left. But it doesn't mean they're bad people."
Monty didn't understand why he defended them, all they did was cause him pain, but the gator believed maybe the good would creep back out someday.
The clever boy seemed to pick up on the lie, "Why are you protecting them?"
