*I did a thing hahalolzi

Gregory ran; he sprinted down the halls, gasping for air until he physically couldn't anymore. The boy collapsed onto his knees, hands on the floor as he choked, vision blurry. He remained like that for a moment, simply breathing until his lungs stopped hurting. The boy sighed, he hadn't wanted to leave the gator, and despite his willingness to fight, he knew a kid like him would only get in the way. Gregory sat back on his heels, glancing at his surroundings, eyes landing on the dual golden statues posing in the center of the room.

"Daycare...I mean, it sounds safe enough." Gregory pushed himself up with his knees, warily eyeing the brightly lit slide.

The boy took a deep breath, looking about the area for another entrance; he didn't like not being able to see where he was going. He walked down the staircase, avoiding the staff bots until he reached large double doors. He gave them a hard shove, using his legs to push open the doors, and stepped inside. The boy squinted, hand shielding his eyes as they adjusted to the bright light and explosive colors.

Gregory poked at his watch, quickly figuring out how to call Monty; in the end, he still needed the gator's help.

The watch buzzed for a moment before the reptile's voice crackled through the speaker, "Gregory? That you, are ya okay?"

"Yea, it's me. I'm fine, went inside the daycare...seems empty."

The gator was silent for a beat, "Are the lights on?"

The boy blinked in confusion, "What...of course they are, but why does that matter?"

"Shit, Gregory, ya need to turn off the lights right now." The gator's voice was filled with panic; the boy could hear the pace of his heavy footsteps rapidly.

"Wait, slow down; why do the lights need to be off?" The boy was becoming concerned, glancing about the room.

"The daycare attendant, he's insane. Ya need to leave before he finds ya."

"Monty, he's the daycare attendant, meaning he loves kids. He can't be that bad." The boy argued, forcing nausea back down his throat.

"No, kid, listen, that's the problem; he loves them too much. Ya need to-."

The line went dead; Gregory poked at the device with a grimace, "Stupid cheap plastic..." He sighed, choosing to focus on the decor instead.

"It's way too colorful in here..." He muttered, lowering his arm to his side.

"There's no such thing as too much color, little boy." A high-pitched voice boomed behind him, causing the boy to jump, fear pricking his spine.

Gregory tensed, slowly turning to eye the yellow sun-themed animatronic, "W-who are you?"

The robot giggled, eyes glowing a deep red as he crouched beside the child, "Haha, silly boy. My name is Sun; I'm your best friend, remember?"

Gregory took a step back, keeping his distance from the lanky robot, "I-I haven't been here before...so we aren't friends." His tone was cold and blunt, watching as the animatronic twitched.

Sun twisted his head so that his mouth was on top, grinning wide as the light in his eyes dimmed, "Oh, that's okay, we will become friends. Best of friends, little one."

Without warning, he lifted Gregory under his arms; the boy yelped, squirming in his grip as he clawed at the robot, "Hey, put me down!"

Sun tsked, "No need to be rude, we're going to play a game in....the ball pit!" The robot laughed maniacally, body shaking from the force.
