*Slight smut*

Damian was restless.

He was spending the weekend at the Kent's place and was hoping to spend most, if not all of his time with Jon, but Jon had other ideas.

He'd practically ignored Damian since he got there and barely ate any dinner too, which was definitely a sign something was up.

Damian knew he'd been having issues with his jerk of a boyfriend, but figured being here would help distract him.

At least for the weekend.

His gut turned, doing flips as his mind kept probing the idea that maybe he himself had been the one to upset Jon.

Maybe he'd made a bad sarcastic comment. Maybe he'd accidentally yelled at him. That did happen quite often, but he couldn't think of anything that would warrant this behavior.

He groaned and rubbed his eyes, finally sitting up and just huffing out a breath. He paused though, going still when he heard the door across the hall open.

Jon's door.

He heard his feet pad down the hallway and down the stairs. Damian tilted his head, getting up and making his way after him.

When he made it to the stairs, he could hear the front door opening then shutting. His eyebrows furrowed as he quietly walked around the corner and watched out the window, wondering where Jon was going.

His mind eased slightly when he saw him walk into the barn. "Ah." He grabbed a blanket off the back of the couch then walked out into the cold night air, following after him.

He sucked in a breath, shivering immediately as he crossed the yard over to the old red structure.

There were no animals inside it was just used for storage and tools. The two of them used to play there all the time when they were younger.

The thought made Damian smile.

He also knew that Jon would go up into the loft to think or just get some space. It was like his little hideout from life.

Connor had fixed it up for him, putting a small heater and fan up there and a nest of blankets and pillows on top of a pallet frame.

It was actually kinda cozy.

Damian hugged the blanket around himself as he walked inside. He heard soft sobs and saw a small light shining from the loft, immediately climbing the ladder.

The sight he saw made his chest clinch.

Jon was sitting at the opposite end of the loft with the sliding barn door open halfway. His legs dangled down and he was hugging himself.

Damian couldn't see his face, but he saw him shaking. From his crying or the cold he wasn't sure, but he grabbed up one of the thick blankets from the nest and took a deep breath.

"Hey, are you okay?" He draped it over Jon's shoulders causing him to jump slightly, turning startled to face Damian. "D-dami?"

Damian frowned more. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you...Jon, what's wrong?" He moved, sitting beside Jon and put his arm around him like he'd done so many times before, letting Jon move into his side and share his warmth.

Jon shook his head, trying to wipe away the flow of tears and sighing when they just kept coming. "Alex...he...he broke up with me."

Damian's nostrils flared. He knew it.

That good for nothing ass.

Taking a deep, he calmed himself and pulled Jon a little closer. "Well that's on him. Jon, you're too good for him. You deserve so much more."
