After Yinghua heard her brother's response, a thought immediately hit her head. She actually had a suspicion about who the woman that took care of her brother was, but decided not to tell it until she was sure.
"Ge, can you take me to her? I want to thank the woman who took care of my beautiful brother." She teased. "Hey, I'm not beautiful, haven't you seen the news about me being on the top of "The Most Handsome Teen Actors of the Year"? He replied, acting angry.
The girl just laughed, then looked at Lan Zhan. "Zhan- ge, don't you think my brother is beautiful?" She teasingly asked and Lan Zhan replied with an "mn".
After a few moments of the siblings teasing each other, Lan Huan finally cleared his throat to get their attention. "I scanned your medical records, and it seems like the accident is the closest cause of your amnesia. Since that is settled, let's talk about something far more important." He said and seriously looked at the Wei Ying.
"Tell me, have you been taking some kind of medicine or any supplements?" Huan asked and Wei Ying nodded. "A few weeks after I was discharged from the hospital, my aunt- I mean the woman who took care of me gave me a bottle of medicine."
"She said that those will help me recover from the trauma I experienced and hopefully restore my memory." He explained. "Do you still have it?" Lan Zhan asked. Wei Ying nodded then he headed upstairs and came back with a glass bottle in his hands then handed it to Lan Huan.
Lan Huan opened the bottle, and as soon as the cap came off, the smell of wolfs bane hit his nose. "What's wrong?" Lan Zhan asked noticing his brother's face. The older just sighed then handed him the bottle. Lan Zhan also smelled the contents then immediately put the cap back on. Yinghua, who noticed the worried look on the two brothers finally asked what's wrong.
"Wolfs bane." Lan Zhan answered shortly, then the girl's eyes widen in shock. "So, all these years my brother has been consuming wolfs bane?" She asked and looked at Lan Huan, waiting for an explanation.
"Yes, but not enough to kill him. It seems like she only wanted to suppress... no, the woman wants to kill Wei Ying's wolf bit by bit. All these years, she's been mixing a small amount of wolfs bane to the supplement. And judging from the bottle she used, it looks like she made them by herself."
Wei Ying who was only listening to the conversation finally spoke up. "Umm... I get that you're worried about me, but could please explain how wolfs bane affects me. Because all these years, I haven't felt anything weird."
