Amadi glared at my form outside the window.
Technically, she was glaring at one of my minions I was possessing, but it was enough for her to become suspicious. "Yes, it is I, Amadi," I sent to her mind.

Her lips pulled back into a cute snarl to cry, "Samael!" She lunged towards the window but she knew she couldn't touch me.

"You know I'm not really here," I couldn't help but chuckle.

She ground her teeth. "I will find you. Soon," she purred, and she really did purr. She's a fearsome kitty.

"It's not yet time for us to meet. We will see each other once you are ready."

"I am not adhering to your schedule!" she denied hotly.

"Then you must catch me if you can, Priestess. For I am not ready to meet you." My serpent in her window slithered away, but I was still watching. I'm always watching my favorites. Irritated, but knowing it was useless to search for me, Amadi strode quickly from the room. Even though she could still track my serpent and catch it, she was furiously working to hide her worry. There was a ballroom full of humans to entertain. Her clan was feeding and would be extra sensitive to the call of the hunt when they needed to be careful. Yes, Amadi would need to be careful, a blank slate on the surface and calculating underneath. Yet the pretty Sekh priestess still couldn't suspect what would happen next. The confusion! The chaos! What fun!
