Faye's Pov
I nervously stood in front of Adalind's door and knocked quietly. I heard some shuffling and then the door opened and Adalind stood there with wide eyes.
"Oh, hello Adalind." She said nervously.
"Hello. Can I come in?" I asked her with a small smile.
She nodded her head and motioned for me to come in.
I sat on her bed and she sat beside me. "Look I know that it's weird for us to be friends or something, but I just need to establish what you want to do now. I know you don't want to live with us forever so what do you plan on doing." I said while tilting my to the side.
"I plan to get my old job back and to get my own place. I'll use a cloaking spell on myself and the babies. I'm just going to continue my old life but now I'm pregnant." She said, making my eyebrows furrow.
"But to do that you would have to move back to Portland and that's in Oregon." I said with a worried tone.
"Yes. I don't need protection all the time. I can take care of myself and my children on my own." She said.
"Are you sure about this. If you are then I'll be sure to leave you be. But do know you are always welcome here." I said with a sweet smile on my face.
Adalind nodded her head and gave me a smile. "Thank you Faye. You have been very kind to me. I appreciate your help. I'm sorry about what Tom did to you. Nobody deserves that." I gave her a grateful smile.
"Thank you. I appreciate your sympathy." I said before standing up and leaving the room to get some rest.
