Latte gulped as the older student glared down at him. He kept silent, scared that with one wrong word, everything would just go to complete shit. The only sound he could hear were birds chirping through the open windowsThe older student, from Savanclaw judging by the yellow vest, leaned down to his level. Glowing green eyes as if he was going to rip his face off.
"I asked you a question, herbivore." Latte's breathing hitched. "Now answer while I'm still being nice."
"Nothing, I...was just putting the books I was reading back on the shelves" Man was he a bad liar. The lion-like student was obviously not convinced, a deep frown was carved onto his face.
He crossed his arms. "Do you think I'm stupid or something?"
"Of course not! It's just um-" How was he supposed to explain any of this? Oh yeah, I just wanted to check out this ominous door that probably contained some sort of evil entity to see if there was any way I could go back to my own world! He'd sound like a lunatic if he said that.
"Ugh, you know what?" The savanaclaw student interrupted, placing a hand to his temple. "I don't really care anymore, you're taking so long to explain that I'm honestly getting tired."
...Wow. Latte couldn't believe what he just heard.
"Listen, I'm gonna let you off the hook just this once cuz I just want to take a nap right now-" He yawned. "But if I catch you doing shit like this again, you'll regret it"
"R..right..." and with that Latte scurried off to class before he could get into any more trouble.
He took a seat next to Jamil once again, telling him about his encounter with that third year. Latte did hide a few details for obvious reasons but it was for the best, didn't want his friend(?) (Latte didn't really know if they were friends, they just met after all) to worry about it too much.
Lunch rolled around quite quickly. He finally got to eat the pork cutlet that he was craving and also got to avoid the shady octavinelle trio as he ate with the current fear that every student around him could either kill him or maybe ruin his day. Except for a few exceptions of course.
For the first day of school, it really wasn't all that bad. To be honest, The day was going along rather smoothly if he did say so himself. The teachers were fairly normal when Latte ignored the obvious similarities a few of them had to cartoon villains back in his world.
In fact, the day was going so smoothly that the moment he took a step into his dorm to rest after a long first day of class, the dorm leader decided that it would be a good time to pressure the first years to join a club. Even though, after reading the flyer, they had at least a two week deadline to think about which clubs they would pick.
"Alright everyone, I'm only going to say this once so make sure to listen." Alaric clapped to gain everyone's attention. "Make sure to at least join one club okay? If you don't want to join, at least make the effort to try a few of them out."
