Latte's incident with the dorm leader spread like wildfire throughout the school which honestly surprised him. Sure, that kinda might have been embarrassing for Alaric but shouldn't things like these be kept within the dorms? He groaned, head hitting the table. For the entire weekend and start of the week, his dormmates continued to make stupid jokes like "Careful Latte! Wouldn't want to make the dorm leader mad again like usual!" Or something along those lines. It was annoying at best and now he had to deal with people outside of his dorm making those jokes too.
He wanted to go back home and complain to his parents or maybe eat an entire bucket of ice cream to calm his nerves. Latte hid his head between his arms until he felt a piece of rolled paper hit head. Looking up to see Jamil's monotone face.
"It's two in the afternoon, are you already tired?"
Latte sighed. "Kinda but nothing serious."
Jamil hummed in response. "Well, we only have one class left so try to stay awake."
He gave him a thumbs up before leaning back into his seat. His eyes glanced towards the window, watching the leaves fall. It reminded him of his time back home when he created large piles of leaves for his little brother to jump into and make a mess of. An aching pain filled his chest and then it hit him.
Even with all the people he grew close with in this world, none of them could replace the security and peace he had with his family...he really missed them.
After listening to Professor Crewel's explanation on how to differentiate iris' to young cattails, the bell finally rang. The entire day felt so long that he didn't even realise that class was over if it weren't for Jamil nudging his elbow.
They left the class in silence, usually Latte would try to fill it with some sort of topic they could talk about but he wasn't feeling it.
"What's up with you today?" Jamil asked. "You've been spacing out a lot and it's honestly worrying."
Latte chuckled. "Are you worried about me? How nice."
He rolled his eyes. "As your friend, it's my job to be worried when you act out of character."
"You're my friend?? Holy crap I thought you just tolerated me!"
"Ha ha, very funny. Now tell me what's up."
He rubbed the back of his head with a sigh. "I'm just tired. School stuff is becoming a bit too stressful for me."
School stuff. That was one way to describe switching bodies with someone who wanted to avoid school, finding a random hologram bird late one night, having his dormmates tease and make fun of him because his dorm leader hates him and also seeing his reflection failing to imitate him. But he wasn't just going to dump on Jamil without any warning, plus it'll just make him sound crazy!
