Chapter 16: Hotel.
"Here's your room key." Sarah says, handing me a key card.
"Thanks." I say, staring at Zachary. He is talking to his manager. Sarah continues talking, but I tune her out.
Guys...
I think I like Zachary.
Okay, I don't like him, I worded that sentence wrong. Zachary just looks more attractive to me. I don't know why.
"Did you get that?" Sarah asks and I look at her.
"Huh?" I say, staring at her confused.
"There's a dinner tonight with the Pepsi representatives. They want you and Zachary to come together. They want to get to know you guys before you film tomorrow. There's a dress on your bed with shoes and accessories to match. Meet me back here in an hour. No later than." She warns.
"Yes mother." I retort before I start walking towards the elevator.
I press the button and wait for the elevator to arrive.
"Are you mad at me?" Zachary says as he stands beside me.
"No, why would you think I was?" I ask him.
"You've been distant since the plane ride." He says and I smile.
The elevator arrives and I walk in, Zachary enters behind me.
"I'm just giving you your space. I can't be all up on you like I'm your girlfriend." I tell him. He pushes the six on the keypad and I stare at him.
"I like it when you touch me, Valarie. Physical touch has always been our thing." He says, smirking at me.
"I don't even know what to say to you." I say and the elevator dings.
"You don't need to use your words." He whispers in my ear before he walks out of the elevator.
My knees buckle and I try to stand up straight.
What is he doing to me and why am I reacting this way?
Walking out of the elevator, I trail behind Zachary.
I need to chill out.
Zachary stops at his room door. My room is the door opposite his and I chuckle.
What are the odds?
"Don't take forever to get ready." He says before he enters his room.
I walk into my room and I breathe in the scent of the room. It smells like peaches. I scan the room as I walk to the bedroom. An emerald green silk dress, Bulgari snake necklace, diamond earrings and some silver pumps stare back at me as I look at the bed.
I tie my hair in a top bun and I strip. Wrapping myself in a white towel, I stroll to the bathroom. I run a bath and I pour the peach body wash in the bathtub. I wait for the water to bubble up before I step in. As soon as my body sinks into the water, the tense muscles and knots in my back loosen up.
Ahh, this is the life.
Ten minutes later, I'm applying lotion on my body. I don't know why Sarah got me everything in peach flavor. The room smells like peaches, my body wash is peach scented and so is this lotion. I don't know what she's trying to do.
I tie the white bathrobe around my naked body before I head to the dresser. I sit there and I apply a face mask. After three minutes, I wipe it off and start doing my makeup. I curl my hair and pin it in a bun, letting some strands fall free. When I'm done, I put on the dress, then the necklace, then the shoes.
