Cordelia walks alongside the Mandalorian, the Child in his pram between the two. The Child holds one of her fingers in his hand as she walks. She smiles as she watches the lizard-like creatures scurrying around them.

After walking for a while, the Mandalorian slows and looks around, hand hovering over the blaster at his hip. When he turns his back, something jumps from above. The Trandoshan knocks the blaster from his grip, a tracking fob beeping on his hip.

The Mandalorian pushes the Child away and Cordelia out of the way. She lands on the ground, quickly looking to check that the kid is okay. Once she realizes that he's out of harms way, she looks around for a weapon. She spots more Trandoshans approaching the Mandalorian and gets to her feet.

Cordelia runs to the nearest Trandoshan and jumps on its back, wrapping her arms around its neck. She manages to kick its weapon away and tries to elbow it on the head. The Trandoshan grabs her arm and flips her over its shoulder. Cordelia grunts as she lands, but quickly knocks the legs out from under it. She leaps onto its chest and spots a rock on the ground nearby. She quickly knocks the Trandoshan out with it before rolling away from it.

The Mandalorian had already taken out another one, but the third is making a run for the Child, its weapon raised over its head.

"No!" Cordelia yells, scrambling to her feet. The Mandalorian turns and disintegrates it with his pulse rifle. She sprints to the Child and checks him for any injuries. She sighs in relief when she finds none and rubs his ear.

"Why do you care so much for it?" The Mandalorian asks. She jumps, not knowing he had joined them. She looks at the Child again before turning to face him.

"At first, it was because I had this feeling that I had to protect him." Cordelia explains. She looks at the Child and smiles. "But now, after having spent time with him, I've grown to truly care about him." She says. She turns back to the Mandalorian. "Do you know what I mean?"

"No." He says and shakes his head. She frowns and he turns and starts walking again. She sighs, but follows after him.

As night approaches, the group stops and makes camp. Cordelia sits next to the Child, her arms wrapped around her knees pressed to her chest, and her chin resting on top. The two watch the Mandalorian as he tends to a wound. After he stops for what seems like the hundredth time she sighs.

"I can help, you know." She says. He lifts his head to look at her for a moment before resuming his work. She rolls her eyes and moves to lay on her back, her hands linked on her stomach. She looks up at the sky, choosing a cloud to track.

After a few moments she spots the Mandalorian approaching, holding the Child. He places him into his pram before moving back to his spot and working on his armor. He returns the Child to his pram again a minute later. This time, he closes the Child inside.

"He was just trying to help. You didn't have to lock him inside." Cordelia says, glaring at the Mandalorian. His helmet turns towards her for a moment before he turns his back to her and returns to his spot. He grunts as he jostles his arm. "My offer from before still stands."

"Will you be quiet and go to sleep?" The Mandalorian says. She sits up and grins.

"I will if you let me tend to your arm." She says. He sighs, but holds out the tool. Cordelia grins triumphantly and moves to his side, grabbing the tool.

She gets to work, humming quietly to herself. The Mandalorian quietly watches her as she tends to his wound, finding himself curious about her. He's pulled from his thoughts when she gasps. He quickly pulls his arm away to look at the cut, only to see it already finished.

"You came because I have a bounty on my head, right?" She says. He nods and she grabs onto his forearm, shaking it slightly in her excitement. "So you have information about me! Tell me everything you know." He tilts his head.

"Why would I tell you that? Shouldn't you already know everything about yourself?" He asks. She sits back and sighs, shaking her head.

"I don't. When I woke up however many months ago in that place, all I could remember is my name, Cordelia. No last name, no family or friends, no memories. Just Cordelia." She explains. She thinks for a moment. "And the song. But other than that, nothing. Every time I try to remember anything else, I get a terrible headache."

"They only told me two things. Your name, Cordelia, and your age, 32. Said that was all the information I needed." The Mandalorian says. She frowns, pulling her knees to her chest. She wraps her arms around them and rests her chin on top, staring at the ground. "I'm sorry." He adds, seeing her sad expression. She looks at him and smiles.

"It's not your fault. Thank you for telling me what you do know." Cordelia says.

She gets up and moves to the Child's pram. She presses the button to open it and peeks inside. The Child is sleeping peacefully inside. She smiles for a moment before closing it again. She curls up on the ground next to it.

"Goodnight, Mandalorian." She says, closing her eyes. The man smiles under his helmet.

"Mando." He says. She smiles.

"Goodnight, Mando." She yawns.

"Goodnight, Cordelia." He says.

The next morning, the group continues their walk to the Mandalorian's ship. As they come up on the hill next to his ship, they hear voices. Mando grabs his rifle as he drops to the ground. He uses the scope to get a better view of the Jawas stripping his ship.

Cordelia drops on the ground next to him. She watches as he reattaches the scope and starts disintegrating the Jawas. After a moment, Cordelia grabs the blaster from his hip and starts helping him shoot them.

Once all the Jawas get into their sandcrawler and start moving away, they race down the hill. The Mandalorian shoots the sandcrawler before he chases the Jawas. Knowing it would be difficult to stop the Jawas, Cordelia looks around his ship to see how much they stole.

After she's done looking over the his ship, she follows the tracks in the sand. She spots Mando on the ground, unmoving and runs to him. She kneels next to him and the pram. The Child coos worriedly.

"Don't worry, little guy. He'll be all right." She reassures him, gently running a finger over his head. She turns to Mando, quickly slipping her fingers under his sleeve to feel for a pulse on his wrist. She sighs and leans back when she feels it. "See, he's fine. He's just taking a nap." She says. The Child coos and reaches towards her.
